The Ancient One truly lived up to her name. While Master Hamil had spent nearly half a year completing Gwen, Peter, and Harry's new protective gear, The Ancient One had finished Lin Hai's more difficult armor in just one month.
Lin Hai had been discussing the studio's product plans for the next quarter with Gwen when his phone rang. Master Hamil's name appeared on the screen.
When Lin Hai answered and heard Master Hamil say that his armor was finished, he was genuinely stunned.
By his original estimate, although The Ancient One was immensely powerful and capable of incredible feats, she was also the Sorcerer Supreme of Kamar-Taj, with equally heavy responsibilities.
With so much on her plate, it was already no small thing for her to find time to make him armor. He had mentally prepared himself not to hear anything until April or May.
Yet only a month had passed before Master Hamil brought him this good news.
Since there was only Lin Hai's armor to collect, Peter had recently returned to Queens to spend time with Uncle Ben and Aunt May, and Harry was still tinkering with his new armor in the underground laboratory, Lin Hai brought only Gwen with him to Kamar-Taj this time.
After arriving at Kamar-Taj, the two headed straight for The Ancient One's private courtyard.
They passed through the front courtyard and entered the inner hall. The Ancient One sat in that grand chair, with a set of purple clay tea ware arranged on the rosewood table before her. To her right, the miniature Plum Blossom Spear lay quietly on the tabletop.
Unlike last time, Master Hamil was nowhere to be seen in the courtyard. He was presumably in the library.
Lin Hai and Gwen stepped forward together and bowed. "Master Ancient One."
