The next afternoon, Lin Hai was lounging in a recliner on the rooftop balcony, basking in the sun.

New York's May sunshine was just right, warm against his skin and enough to make him drowsy. A freshly brewed cup of Longjing sat on the small tea table beside him, its fragrance drifting faintly on the breeze.

He had just finished an early dinner with Gwen and the others. After Peter and Harry cleaned up the dishes, they headed back into the underground lab, while Gwen went to the study to continue reading the magical tomes she had brought back from Kamar-Taj.

Lin Hai curled up alone in the recliner, his eyes half-closed as he enjoyed this rare moment of peace.
