The moment Lin Hai's right fingertips touched the surface of the Tesseract, an enormous, nearly indescribable surge of energy poured out from the dark blue cube.
Like floodwaters bursting through a dam, that energy spread from his Fingers to his palm. Wherever it passed, Lin Hai felt his skin being pricked, his muscles torn apart, and his bones compressed.
Lin Hai frowned but did not cry out. This pain was far less than what he had endured when his Life Force underwent its transformation. His right hand remained pressed against the Tesseract, showing no sign of pulling away.
Everything happening so far was basically within his expectations.
The Mind Stone's energy mainly affected the spiritual level, so he had barely felt much physical discomfort during that contact. But the Space Stone was different. Once its energy entered a human body, the first thing it impacted was the material level—the flesh.
If an ordinary person had their body invaded by energy of this level, there would be only one outcome: they would collapse from the cellular level onward, then turn into an unrecognizable puddle of biological residue. They might not even leave residue behind.
