A Visit to the Lin Family

The morning sun lazily spilled across the entrance of the Chen-Style Chinese Medicine Clinic. The agreed departure day had arrived.

Peter, Gwen, and Harry arrived one after another, each carrying only a light backpack containing passports, visas, cameras, and a few personal toiletries. Traveling light, they were filled with anticipation for the upcoming trip to Huaxia.

In the clinic's backyard, Lin Hai was showing his master, Chen Bing, the results of a semester of hard practice.

His hands smoothly traced circles through the air, and golden sparks sprang forth, steadily spinning into a Portal that shimmered with mysterious light. On the other side, a quiet Huaxia-style alley could vaguely be seen.

"Master, look. My targeting is much more accurate now," Lin Hai said proudly. "Are you really not coming back with us for a visit? With this, you can be home in a second."

Master Chen Bing watched the dazzling magic with a pleased look in his eyes, but he still waved his hand with a chuckle. "No, no. You young people should go have fun together. What would I be joining in for? There's nothing urgent for me to do back home anyway. A few old friends here have already invited me to play chess and drink tea. Go on, go on.
