Background / History
Yu Xiaogang was born into the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Sect. According to Azure Luan Douluo, Yu Yuanzhen considered him a potential successor before his awakening revealed a detached Martial Soul and only 0.5 innate Soul Power. His poor talent subsequently became a source of embarrassment for his father 39.
Bibi Dong loved him in her youth, but Qian Xunji opposed their relationship. Yu Xiaogang remembers Qian Xunji’s oppressive presence with fear and believes that, without his interference, he and Bibi Dong might have been together 38 39.
He also fought alongside Flender and Liu Erlong as the Golden Iron Triangle. Flender recalls that the three earned a continental reputation and won numerous arena tournaments. Yu Xiaogang later left Liu Erlong without an explanation or a letter, leaving her waiting for years 72 73.
Before arriving at Shrek Academy himself, he sent Tang San and Xiao Wu there. He credited his training with bringing Tang San close to the Soul Elder realm and making him undefeated at Nuoding Academy 38.
