Holding Xiao Wu in his arms, Tang San slowly raised his head. There was no emotion in his dark eyes, only a deep, unfathomable gaze.
He walked up to Ning Rongrong. "Could I trouble you to look after Xiao Wu for a while?"
Ning Rongrong froze for a moment, then withdrew her Seven Treasures Glazed Pagoda Wuhun and took Xiao Wu into her arms.
Tang San turned and walked over to An Chen, asking quietly, "An Chen, do you have any strength left?"
An Chen glanced at Tang San and nodded. "Yes."
After a moment of silence, Tang San said, "I want to fight Teacher Zhao again. But I'm afraid I can't last through one incense stick alone. Would you join me?"
An Chen froze.
Why was this different from the original? Why was I getting dragged into this?
He looked at Tang San, then at Zhao Wuji by the side of the field.
This guy knew he couldn't win, yet he still wanted to keep going.
"Fine," he said. "I'll help you."
Tang San nodded and turned toward Zhao Wuji.
An Chen followed behind him, taking another sausage from his Ring. He chewed a few bites and swallowed it.
As he passed Ning Rongrong, he said quietly, "If Tang San and I can't hold on, be ready to boost us at any time."
Ning Rongrong nodded.
Zhao Wuji looked at the two approaching boys and paused. "What, you two still want to continue?"
Tang San shook his head. "I hope to have a serious fight with you. Please light another incense stick. If the two of us can last for one incense stick's time, please allow us to enter Shrek Academy."
Zhao Wuji looked at them with an amused smile. "And if you can't hold on?"
Tang San turned to look at Ning Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing.
Zhu Zhuqing's dislocated arm had already been set back by Dai Mubai, and she had regained consciousness, though her breathing was still weak.
Ning Rongrong smiled faintly in their direction. "We're comrades. We can't abandon our comrades. At worst, we'll leave together."
Zhu Zhuqing forced herself upright and nodded once at Tang San.
He looked at An Chen again.
There was no way we were leaving. We'd definitely get in in the end. An Chen nodded calmly.
Tang San turned back to face Zhao Wuji. "If we lose, then we'll leave together."
Looking at the two children before him, Zhao Wuji liked them more and more. He burst into hearty laughter. "Good! Then let me see what other strength you two have been hiding."
The third incense stick was lit and planted in the ground nearby.
An Chen stood beside Tang San and quietly activated Spirit Vision.
Zhao Wuji's Soul Power surged beneath his skin. An Chen had already grasped a little of its pattern: when Soul Power erupted, there would be a brief gap as it flowed back.
That gap was so short that ordinary people would never notice it.
But An Chen could "see" it with Spirit Vision.
He gripped the Iron Pot tightly. Black Fog poured out of it, spreading across the ground beneath their feet like a tide.
"Tang San," An Chen said quietly, "I'll find his openings. You handle the attacks."
Tang San nodded.
Zhao Wuji strode toward them.
Tang San stood there as his power slowly gathered throughout his body.
His hands gradually turned white, lustrous as jade, while faint currents of air seemed to circulate between his fingers.
"Teacher Zhao, be careful." Tang San suddenly raised his head, and the purple light in his eyes flared intensely.
Zhao Wuji was startled, and his steps slowed for a beat.
In that brief pause, Tang San's hands floated up from both sides of his waist.
Ssh, ssh, ssh, ssh, ssh, ssh, ssh, ssh, ssh, ssh...
Ten flashes of cold light burst from Tang San's ten fingers, shooting respectively at Zhao Wuji's eyes, shoulders, throat, heart, knees, groin, and lower abdomen.
Under An Chen's Spirit Vision, the trajectories of those ten cold flashes were perfectly clear. Every one of them was aimed precisely at Zhao Wuji's vital points.
Zhao Wuji reacted quickly. One bear paw moved up and the other down, shielding his eyes above and groin below. With a low roar, Soul Power burst from his entire body as he fully activated his First Soul Skill, Immovable Wisdom King Body.
Ten explosions rang out almost simultaneously. All ten flashes struck Zhao Wuji's body, yet within the golden light, every one of them was bounced back.
Tang San stepped on Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track and retreated swiftly.
An Chen did not move. His gaze remained fixed on Zhao Wuji.
Through Spirit Vision, An Chen saw Zhao Wuji's Soul Power surge from its core throughout his body after Immovable Wisdom King Body activated, forming a golden barrier. But he saw a fleeting crack in that barrier at Zhao Wuji's chest—a gap created by the flow of Soul Power.
"Tang San, there's an opening in the Soul Power at his chest!" An Chen shouted.
Tang San twisted his body, flinging out more than ten flashes of cold light.
Willow Leaf Daggers, Locust Stones, Coin Darts, Bone-Piercing Nails—countless varieties of Hidden Weapons blossomed through Tang San's Full Sky Flowers Rain technique, all aimed at Zhao Wuji's vital points.
Zhao Wuji was shocked. It was the first time he had encountered an opponent like this.
Tang San's Hidden Weapons were not only accurate, but attacked many different locations at once, making them extremely difficult to evade.
But what surprised him even more was the boy beside him holding a pot.
An Chen did not attack directly. Instead, he stood at the edge of the field, his gaze locked on Zhao Wuji.
Whenever a gap appeared in the flow of his Soul Power, that boy would call out a warning.
"His right shoulder!"
"His lower body!"
"His back!"
Hearing An Chen's reminders, Tang San's Hidden Weapon attacks became even more precise, targeting the weak points in Zhao Wuji's Soul Power.
Zhao Wuji was secretly astonished.
Could this pot-wielding brat actually see the openings in his Soul Power flow?
"You little monkey, you really are slippery." Zhao Wuji laughed and cursed. "Third Soul Ring skill, Gravity Enhancement."
The third Soul Ring on his body, a purple Millennium Soul Ring, suddenly lit up.
In an instant, Tang San felt as though his feet had sunk into a swamp. His body became heavy, as if his weight had directly doubled.
An Chen felt it too. The gravity suddenly increased, making his body heavy and his movements sluggish.
But Zhao Wuji was clearly unaffected. He charged toward Tang San in great strides.
"Tang San, his gravity only affects us!" An Chen shouted. "Try using Blue Silver Grass!"
Tang San retreated rapidly as Blue Silver Grass spread outward, blocking Zhao Wuji's path.
Though the tough Blue Silver Grass was not enough to stop Zhao Wuji, it could still delay him for a moment.
Each time, only one stalk of Blue Silver Grass tripped Zhao Wuji's foot, slowing him down while conserving as much inner strength as possible.
Zhao Wuji glanced at the burning incense nearby. It had already burned to nearly the halfway mark.
He could not help feeling a little anxious.
The mighty Immovable Bright King was having such difficulty dealing with two twelve-year-old children.
"It's time to end this." Zhao Wuji's Fourth Soul Ring lit up again.
Purple light flashed. Zhao Wuji's Fourth Soul Ring actually flew out, caught up to Tang San, and slipped directly over his body.
An Chen watched the purple Soul Ring settle over Tang San, yet Tang San did not seem to feel any discomfort.
Zhao Wuji laughed heartily. "You've forced me to use four Soul Rings. You have the qualifications to be admitted."
