• At the ten-thousand-year stage, Soul Beasts develop sufficient intelligence and spiritual will to produce a dangerous soul shock when absorbed as Spirit Rings by inadequately prepared Soul Masters 6 68.
• Hunting Soul Beasts grants humans Spirit Rings, a discovery that enabled the rise of Spirit Masters and transformed humanity from prey into the dominant continental power 55.
• Sacrifice allows a Soul Beast to transfer its power as a Spirit Ring more safely than ordinary hunting; traces of a sacrificed Soul Beast’s soul can remain in an External Soul Bone 7.
• Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beasts face a choice between remaining in beast form and enduring progressively stronger Heavenly Tribulations, or dispersing their cultivation to take human form and cultivate quickly with a much shorter lifespan 57.
• Heavenly Tribulations occur at each hundred-thousand-year cultivation milestone and become increasingly lethal; the stated purpose of these tribulations is to prevent Soul Beasts from becoming gods 12 57.

Knowledge and Society

Soul Beast society is traditionally divided by species, bloodlines, and territories. Bloodline memories preserve instinctive and species-specific knowledge, but cannot easily transmit information between different kinds of Soul Beasts. An Ice Jade Scorpion’s accumulated experience, for example, cannot be inherited by Titan Snow Demons or Ice Bears 55 56.

Unlike humans, Soul Beasts historically possess no shared writing system, books, academies, or cross-species institutions for preserving knowledge. Their long lifespans have therefore not translated into cumulative civilizational development 55.

Cognitive Disparity

Human–Soul Beast Conflict

Humans initially hunted only weaker ten- and hundred-year Soul Beasts, but recorded effective Spirit Ring combinations, Soul Beast locations, and methods of assessing ring age. Later generations inherited this knowledge rather than beginning from nothing 55.

Human territorial growth has compressed Soul Beasts into a small number of major habitats. The Star Dou Great Forest is specifically described as continuing to shrink, while the Far North remains comparatively protected because its environment deters most human Soul Masters 49 55.

• Humans require Spirit Rings to cultivate and therefore continue to hunt Soul Beasts 55.
• Soul Beasts regard humans with deep distrust because of hunting for Spirit Rings and Spirit Bones 49 54.
• Beiming Lieyang argues that understanding human civilization is necessary for Soul Beast survival, rather than treating all human knowledge as worthless 54 55.
• The loss of an earlier advanced soul-tool civilization allowed Soul Beasts to regain dominance temporarily, but they failed to preserve lessons from that period; humans later rose again 56.

Far North Reform

Beiming Lieyang, Snow Emperor, and Ice Emperor begin planning a Far North civilization modeled in part on human institutions. The proposed system is intended to turn the region from a loose collection of strength-based territories into a self-sufficient Soul Beast society 57.

• Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beasts would first study human knowledge, cultivation methods, and Heavenly Tribulation experience, then teach younger intelligent Soul Beasts 57.
• The Far North would establish a “hundred years of compulsory education” for Soul Beasts 57.
• Resources such as Void Mysterious Ice would be distributed through a task-and-reward system for teaching, documenting cultivation, and recording successful tribulations 57.
• Human-form Soul Beasts would be protected within their own Far North community rather than being forced to cultivate among humans 57.
• Ice Silkworms, Snow Deer, Snow Rabbits, and similar species could be cultivated as livestock to prevent food-chain collapse as the population grows 57.

Void Mysterious Ice

Void Mysterious Ice becomes central to the Far North’s plans because it can triple attributes, restore Soul Power, and heal injuries 30 43.

• High-level Soul Beasts can use it to reinforce their foundations before Heavenly Tribulations 43 47.
• The Far North intends to distribute it among major clans and isolated Soul Beasts capable of becoming future regional guardians 47.
• Its concentrated energy must be absorbed gradually when used for cultivation, as immediate absorption can cause harm 42.
• Apollo Puppets assist Beiming Lieyang in producing and distributing the resource across the Far North and beyond 43 47.

• Snow Emperor — Lord of the Far North; successfully survives her 700,000-year Lightning Tribulation with Void Mysterious Ice’s support and reaches 750,000 years of cultivation 12.
• Ice Emperor — Ice Jade Emperor Scorpion and Far North ruler; leads the Ice Jade Scorpion clan and spearheads plans to strengthen its members through Void Mysterious Ice 40 47.

• Soul Beasts below ten thousand years of cultivation are generally not considered true kin by most higher Soul Beasts because they have not awakened intelligence; the Far North’s major races are noted as an exception in how they protect their young 57.
