A Grand Gathering

After a brief discussion with Jane, the two soon got up and left, following the waiter into the venue.

It was obvious that this grand gathering was the main event of the day!

The moment they entered, waves of noise washed over them. Even Old Li, who had mentally prepared himself, was slightly shaken by the sight before him.

Li merely pushed up his glasses in silence, showing no reaction.

The enormous hall was exceptionally spacious, with ceilings perhaps three or four meters high. Crystal chandeliers hung overhead, red carpets covered the floor, and the overall layout leaned toward a Western style, giving the place a rather relaxed atmosphere.

Clearly, the two of them had not arrived particularly early. Many more people had already gotten there ahead of them.

At a rough glance, there had to be at least several hundred people present. Guests holding wineglasses chatted among themselves, their buzzing conversations blending into a noisy hum. Even the air seemed faintly filled with an excited, curious restlessness.
