Inquisitor Thraxol did not know whether he had accepted his fate or simply had no wish to die and still wanted to live, so he sought Li Qinwu's advice.
"Which direction do you suggest I take?"
He wanted Li Qinwu, that mad genius, to help him plan out his career.
After all, Li Qinwu had merely taken on the title of Inquisitor, yet he had already grown into a major warlord. His achievements spoke for themselves.
Li Qinwu considered it carefully for several minutes before offering his advice.
"There's nothing to choose. Just go cause trouble in T'au territory.
The T'au are developing too quickly. Sooner or later, they'll become a great enemy of humanity.
It's only because the T'au are small in scale and the damage they cause is limited, while the Imperium has too many enemies in other directions to spare time dealing with them, that they've been allowed to keep barely hanging on.
If you can go stir things up in T'au territory and limit their development, it'll benefit the Imperium in the future.
And the T'au have body structures similar to ours. Once you seize their weapons, you can use them directly and grow stronger with every battle.
There are plenty of traitorous humans in T'au-controlled territory. If they ran into other Imperial forces, they'd just be killed outright. What a waste.
Now that you've captured them, you can replenish your forces with them and send them to die fighting the T'au.
And if one day you can no longer withstand Chaos corruption and fall completely, at least you'll be shitting in the T'au's backyard.
When that happens, your fallen self can spread faith in the Chaos Gods among the human population under T'au control, turn those human traitors into cultists, and blow the T'au apart!"
