Chemical Pig 2

Li Qinwu waited on the first floor for nearly three minutes. After confirming the thing was truly stuck, he raised his Pipe Shotgun and crept upstairs.

He moved carefully, taking one step at a time. When he reached the fifth floor, he cautiously observed from the stairwell.

The Chemical Pig's head and upper body had squeezed into a gap. It could neither advance nor retreat, and it was miserable as hell.

Li Qinwu checked his Pipe Shotgun, rushed forward, pressed the muzzle against the unarmored bend of the Chemical Pig's left hind leg, and fired.

With a boom, flesh and blood exploded from the Chemical Pig's hind leg. It let out a heart-wrenching squeal and began struggling frantically.

Li Qinwu quickly blasted the second shell into the same spot, completely shattering one of the Chemical Pig's knees and exposing the bone.

The Chemical Pig struggled even harder, constantly yanking its head backward. The metal gap trapping it let out creaking, twisting sounds.

Li Qinwu opened the gun's chamber and reloaded, then fired the third and fourth shots into the bend of its left hind leg.

The 35mm buckshot was incredibly powerful, especially when fired almost directly against its leg. After four shots, the Chemical Pig's left thigh was severed at the knee.

The intense pain made the Chemical Pig let out a terrifying scream. With a vicious heave, accompanied by a burst of metal twisting noises, it actually pulled its head free from the gap!

Li Qinwu hurriedly backed away and loaded more shells into the Pipe Shotgun.

The Chemical Pig had lost a leg, yet it still crawled after Li Qinwu. It was not slow—about as fast as an adult walking briskly.

Li Qinwu retreated while firing at it with the Pipe Shotgun, but its armor was too thick. Buckshot without Armor-Piercing capability could not threaten it.

After firing more than ten shells and seeing they had no effect, Li Qinwu stopped shooting. He put away the Shotgun and decided to drag things out, waiting for the legless Chemical Pig to bleed to death.

He led the Chemical Pig in circles, but after two laps, Li Qinwu realized its stubby leg was no longer bleeding. Or rather, it was bleeding very little.

He suspected the Chemical Pig had some sort of clotting agent in its body to prevent it from dying of massive blood loss.

Scratching his head, Li Qinwu took three detonators from his pocket and tied them together with the bag that had held the buckshot. He estimated the fuse length and the Chemical Pig's crawling speed, lit them, tossed them onto the ground, and turned to run.

The Chemical Pig squealed, thinking he was fleeing. It twisted its bloated body even harder to close in, completely ignoring the three-in-one detonator on the ground as it crawled right over it.

At that moment, the detonator exploded at exactly the right time.

With a deafening boom, the Chemical Pig's two arms supporting it on the floor were blown off. Its entire belly and chest cavity were blasted apart, and bloody intestines and organs spilled all over the ground.

Li Qinwu coughed continuously from the dust kicked up by the explosion. When he finally recovered and looked over, the Chemical Pig was dead beyond doubt.

"Clear the map!"

He shouted, humming a little tune about getting food as he began cleaning up the battlefield.

First was the Chemical Pig. It was not wearing clothes and had no pockets to search, but Li Qinwu wanted some proof he could take back to the Black Merchant in exchange for money.

This was a Chemical Pig, for crying out loud. It was huge. They could not fob him off with 200 Fertilizer Coupons like it was an ordinary Chemical Gang member. Killing one of these had to be worth at least 2,000 Fertilizer Coupons, right?

Li Qinwu looked the Chemical Pig over from top to bottom, then simply used Little Knife to cut along its spine, removing the pig helmet and a strip of metal from its backbone.

It was a single integrated device. The helmet and metal strip were covered in needles that delivered Rage Drug directly into the Chemical Pig's brain and spinal cord. It was a truly evil thing.

Li Qinwu studied the Warhammer 40,000-style dark device for a while and discovered seven small protrusions on it that seemed like they could be opened.

He fumbled with the protrusions and opened them. Seven thumb-sized cylindrical glass bottles popped out.

Two of them were already empty, while the other five contained an unknown red liquid.

Li Qinwu picked up the five red drugs, checked their entry in his mind, and shouted, "Score!"

Description: A drug that makes a person immune to pain and keeps them in a state of intense rage. It also has integrated clotting properties.

Tip: You can use Rage Drug at the Hideout Medical Station to produce advanced medicines or injections.

Rage Drug was an upgraded version of Poison Needle and could be used to create more advanced medicine. As for exactly what kind, he would have to wait until the Medical Station was built.

Li Qinwu packed up the Rage Spine along with the drugs, then returned to the first floor and cut off all the tattoos from the Chemical Dogs.

With those things in hand, Li Qinwu began scavenging the place. This had once been some kind of chemical production base. For some reason, it had been abandoned, and there might still be valuable items waiting to be uncovered inside.

After rummaging through the first floor, he found a set of test tubes and beakers worth 200 Fertilizer Coupons. More importantly, it was an upgrade item for the Medical Station. Taking it!

Then on the second floor, he found a little gem called Chemical Purification Equipment. It was half the size of a suitcase and worth 25,000 Fertilizer Credits—the most valuable single item Li Qinwu had found so far.

It was also an upgrade item for the Medical Station and could purify certain chemicals for the preparation of medicines.

He had struck it rich. Li Qinwu immediately did a Thomas flare followed by a Praise the God-Emperor routine before carefully stuffing it into his backpack.

He found nothing on the third floor. Just a pile of junk.

On the fourth floor, he pulled three unused Biohazard Filter Cartridges from a crate. They could purify water and kill microorganisms and viruses in it, and were used to upgrade the Hideout Water Purifier.

On the fifth floor, he found an impact drill. It was large and heavy, and once connected to a power source, it could drill through most of the Ceramite and metal in Hive City buildings. It was worth 3,200 Fertilizer Coupons, about the price of a PDF Automatic Gun.

After packing everything up, Li Qinwu prepared to leave. He opened the map and saw that the extraction point was on the fifth floor, near some ventilation duct.

However, he was curious where the wall the Chemical Pig had smashed through led, so he did not extract immediately.

He tossed his backpack and the impact drill onto the fifth floor, then ran all the way down to the first floor and found the breach the Chemical Pig had made.

As soon as he approached the breach, a green countdown appeared above his head.

Traveling to map: Chemical Gang Base. 10, 9, 8...

Li Qinwu gave an inward "oh." So this was where he could deploy to the Chemical Gang Base. He quickly backed away until the countdown vanished.

After remembering that, Li Qinwu returned to the fifth floor, picked up his things, and stood near the ventilation duct. When the countdown ended, it was an outstanding operation, with extracted valuables worth 32,500.
