When facing outsiders, the family displayed the golden lion banner. Internally, each smaller family within the larger family had its own distinct banner.
For example, Thraxol's branch was called the Three-Tailed Lion, and its family crest was likewise a golden lion with three tails.
The Three-Tailed Lion was a highly influential family beneath the Golden Lion Family, and its territory occupied 8% of the entire Spire.
The weaker family branches only held between 1% and a fraction of a percent of territory within the Spire.
From this, it was clear that the Golden Lion Family was essentially a closed-off little kingdom.
Its dozens or even hundreds of internal families were equivalent to the king's vassals, and there were certainly plenty of internal struggles among them.
Li Qinwu and Catwoman Nova were led by the butler into the area belonging to the Three-Tailed Lion Family, entering a private banquet hall.
