An armory should, by all rights, have been a highly serious military facility, filled with concrete walls, weapon storage, and drill grounds for soldiers.
But Li Qinwu's landing point was a vast garden overflowing with greenery and flowers.
This place was also enclosed beneath an enormous glass dome. The dome was likely over ten kilometers long and two or three kilometers at its highest point. Beyond the glass, the ever-shifting Warp could be seen.
This glass dome was likely some kind of anti-Warp device, keeping all Warp contamination outside.
Li Qinwu himself could sense that the Warp readings within the glass dome were normal.
As a result, the interior of the dome, which had gone unmaintained for over ten thousand years, had retained a stable ecosystem. A chaotic profusion of flowers, grass, and trees had grown wild. Shrubs, vines, flowers, and alien trees hundreds of meters tall sprawled across the land before them, turning the place completely into a tropical rainforest.
Li Qinwu's view was utterly blocked by the towering trees and dense shrubs. He could not see what lay ahead at all.
He activated the Bird Spectrometer on his Power Armor and scanned the area, but found nothing unusual. So he looked at the plump Bruce Crocodile.
"Bruce, fly up and take a look at the surrounding terrain."
Bruce Crocodile was holding a bone in his hand, using it as a toothpick.
After hearing Li Qinwu's order, he flicked away the toothpick and gave a salute. Then he dropped onto all fours and began flapping his wings, trying to take flight.
But the fellow was too fat. He rose less than two or three meters before landing again, panting like a dog.
Li Qinwu slapped a hand against his face.
