Everyone went mad trying to find a way out for themselves or their families. Whenever someone saw a Shuttle land on the surface, thousands or even tens of thousands would immediately swarm over to fight for it.
These Shuttles often landed in the courtyards of some high-ranking official or scientist.
Once the armed soldiers picked up their passengers, they left immediately, paying no attention whatsoever to the T'au civilians around them.
With no other choice, the T'au civilians began seizing Shuttles. The sight of tens of thousands of people crowding around a Shuttle and fighting over it was truly spectacular.
After the T'au civilians surrounded a Shuttle, they frantically squeezed into its rear hatch. Some even climbed onto the top of the Shuttle and clung to its armor.
This was when the armed soldiers proved their worth. Holding Pulse Rifles, they directly opened fire on the civilians climbing into the rear compartment.
After killing the civilians near the rear compartment, the hatch closed. Then the Shuttle's thrusters spewed flames as it began flying into the sky.
A large number of T'au civilians nearby were burned to death by the Shuttle's flames. Once the Shuttle successfully rose into the sky, another large number of civilians clinging to its side armor were thrown off by the immense airflow.
Dozens of minutes later, the Shuttle successfully broke through the atmosphere, flew toward the warships in low orbit, and docked on one of their decks.
Only then did the deck crew discover that there were actually T'au civilian corpses frozen stiff atop the Shuttle!
