Bone Terminator howled and shrieked in delight. Every pass of the Whip of Torment through his body brought him an unparalleled stab of pain.
Lucius's expression had turned utterly dark. Calling him arrogant had struck a nerve.
And apparently, he really had misjudged the situation. Bone Terminator truly didn't have the divine artifact.

This should have been an utterly routine operation: obtain the divine artifact, please Slaanesh, and dispose of five subordinates he had long disliked along the way.
Instead, all these twists and turns had left him at a loss.

As he pondered that, a weak laugh came from the grass in the distance.
