From the ground to the top, the gravity gradually decreased from eightfold to fourfold.

In other words, if an enemy could fly, they could gradually escape the gravitational pull by flying a little higher.

That was how an ordinary Greater Gravity Spell worked. But within the semi-elliptical Gravity Space of Arnold's improved Greater Gravity Spell, some parts of the ground still had eightfold gravity, while other locations might have sixfold, sevenfold, or even fourfold gravity. Arnold had set the lowest gravity on the ground at fourfold. From four meters above the ground to the middle area near the top, the gravity became even more unpredictable. The minimum was twofold, the maximum was sixfold, and almost every spot was different.

Originally, Arnold had wanted to develop a Greater Gravity Spell that could alter gravity on its own, but unfortunately, he had not figured it out.

Beside a stream on the back mountain, Arnold was doing push-ups. Within a three-meter radius around him, the ground was covered in a layer of earthy yellow light. Arnold had cast an eightfold Greater Gravity Spell over that area.

Under eightfold gravity, Arnold's entire body was under pressure. Even the blood vessels and meridians within his body were bearing eight times the gravity.

"Damn it, why is adapting from sixfold to eightfold gravity so difficult?" Arnold slowly did push-ups, feeling deeply unwilling to accept it.

That monkey had adapted to a hundredfold gravity in ten days. Arnold was not asking for much—he only wanted to transition from sixfold gravity to eightfold gravity within half a month.

Yet half a month had already passed. Every time he cast eightfold gravity, he still could not properly adapt. His whole body felt dizzy and heavy, while the blood vessels and meridians inside him were compressed.

Arnold immediately cast Earth Pulse again, adjusting the eightfold gravity down to sixfold. His strength had now reached the upper level of a Third-level Warrior. If he continued training, he would probably reach the Fourth-level within half a year at most.

Arnold seemed to have an exceptionally high affinity for earth-element magic, because he felt that he had discovered another branch of Earth Law.

As everyone knew, the earth was the source of earth-element mages. With their feet upon the ground, earth-element mages could walk without making the slightest sound.

One time, while Arnold was walking along the path to the back mountain, he suddenly had an idea: the earth nurtured all things and embraced everything. Then could a person merge into the boundless Earth Element and move quickly through it?

But earth-element magic had no spell like that at all, leaving Arnold at a complete loss. If there was something to draw upon, one could gradually deduce and improve it, making the spell more powerful. But without a path, one had to create one from nothing. Could I do it? Arnold asked himself.

Spending all day in the academy's back mountain researching and improving magic gave him plenty of strange ideas to explore in the short term. But his experience was ultimately too shallow. Only by traveling far and seeing different sights could he improve his spells more efficiently.

It had been nearly two months since Linley left in mid-December, and Arnold had also stayed at the academy for nearly two months. He was preparing to travel once again. "Keeping a low profile. Don't you get it?" Arnold said solemnly.

"Keeping a low profile, my ass. You let Dixie snatch the title of first to reach Sixth-level Mage," Renault said unhappily.

"That title isn't worth much anyway. If Dixie wants it, he can have it," Arnold said.

"Where are you planning to go this time, Arnold?" George asked.

"Hmm, I'll visit some major cities in Fenlai Kingdom or Hess Kingdom and travel around. I'll probably be gone for half a year," Arnold answered casually.

"Half a year? That long?" Renault exclaimed.

"Yes. When I return after this trip, my strength will definitely rise greatly. Do you believe me?" Arnold said lightly, intending to liven the mood.

"Arnold, it's good for you to go out and relax. You spend every day cultivating. It's too stifling," Yale said.

The next day, Arnold left Ernst Academy.

Ernst Academy was located in the mountainous forests more than twenty li south of the holy capital, Fenlai City. Arnold left Fenlai City and followed the route toward Hess Kingdom.

Just as during his previous training in the Warcraft Mountain Range, Arnold wore sturdy linen trousers and a sleeveless vest, making him look like a warrior.

Along the sparsely populated roads, Arnold simply walked at a normal pace. With his feet on the earth, he could clearly feel the Pulsation of the land, and his heart became as steady as the earth itself.

Sometimes, when he passed a clear river, Arnold would dive straight into the water and feel the breath of the stream.

At other times, when he saw a rushing waterfall in the mountains, Arnold would stand directly beneath it and train his body with the Gravity Spell.

Two months after Arnold left the academy, Linley returned and proposed graduating.

Arnold felt helpless about this as well. Over the past two months, he had nearly traveled across two-thirds of Fenlai Kingdom, and he was simply too far away. Yale had contacted Arnold through the ever-present Dawson Commerce and informed him of the news.

Arnold also conveyed his message through Dawson Commerce: he could not make it back in time, but once he returned to the academy, he would visit Linley again.

Yale and the others were equally helpless and could only watch Linley graduate.
