As the Revolutionary Army's headquarters, the atmosphere here was usually peaceful and full of vitality. But now, the war room was filled with the smell of gunpowder.

The meeting room had no luxurious decorations, but it was spacious and imposing. An oval table made of solid wood and matching high-backed chairs were all it contained.

Dragon sat silently at the head of the table. His face was hidden beneath his hood, making it impossible to read his emotions. Only his sharp, contemplative eyes made it clear that he was listening to the argument as well.

Below sat the Revolutionary Army officers qualified to attend this meeting. At the moment, however, they had split into two groups and were arguing fiercely. The source of the dispute was a book with a black cover bearing a pentagram magic circle.

Kuma had sent this book over using his ability, along with a letter containing his thoughts on Ryan and the others.

Everyone had read the letter and the book. After using the knowledge within to confirm that magic truly existed, the Revolutionary Army had split into two factions over Ryan's request for cooperation, delivered through Kuma.

Don't misunderstand. The so-called two factions were not one in favor of cooperation and the other against it. In fact, every senior member of the Revolutionary Army was inclined to accept the olive branch Ryan had extended.

What they were debating was when to contact the other side, and whether they should agree to his request for a direct meeting with Dragon.

Dragon's importance within the Revolutionary Army was irreplaceable. While the Revolutionary Army was sustained by its ideals, Dragon's personal charisma was also an extremely important factor.
