"What was going on?"
Ryan turned to the Alva behind him and asked.
After his initial surprise, he could now tell that the one behind him was the real Alva.
Though the two were identical in appearance, clothing, and even aura, a closer look still revealed subtle differences in their temperaments.
Alva bowed slightly and explained, "He is Alva 1, cultivated from my own cells and created using a memory transfer device."
"However, due to technical limitations, the test subject can currently only bear roughly thirty percent of my memories and achieve around an eighty percent synchronization rate with my thought patterns. In order to further enhance the test subject's research capabilities, I adjusted his brain and removed most emotions other than curiosity. If he has shown any disrespect toward the Creator, I ask that you punish him!"
Alva remained bent over as Ryan rubbed his brow. After sorting through the information he had just received, he waved for him to straighten up.
"Handle the research matters as you see fit. Find somewhere quieter. I have something to discuss with you."
Ryan spoke after glancing at the researchers around them.
Although there was no possibility of secrets leaking within the Hive Base, discussing matters while everyone watched still made him uncomfortable.
Especially with someone who looked exactly like Alva standing there. It felt even stranger.
"Yes."
Alva nodded and headed underground.
Ryan followed him. After walking for a while, he could not help asking, "Alva, do clones cultivated from your cells provide much help with scientific research?"
"Yes." Alva, who was leading the way, nodded. "My race is the Mind Flayers, whose foundation is far stronger than that of humans. And because of compatibility, clones created from my cells can most easily withstand my knowledge and memories."
"Although the clones
