In the office, Ryan watched the spatial passage vanish. After a brief pause, he picked up his phone and called Annie.

"What are you doing?" Ryan asked as soon as the call connected.

"Dealing with League of Heroes matters, what else?"

"Reporters, public opinion, talks with other heroes, handling Stark and those annoying S.H.I.E.L.D. people... I seriously wish I could learn how to make clones and deal with all this nonsense."

Annie's faint complaints came through the phone. Ryan smiled. "If you're tired, let someone else do it. You're my sister. On this planet, no one can force you to do anything you don't want to do!"

His voice was exceedingly domineering, and Annie chuckled softly.

"Including Uncle Mocha and Aunt Rose?"

"If you're really that amazing, then make Aunt Rose nag me less, my great brother, Lord of Nazarick?"

There was a trace of teasing in her voice. Ryan could practically picture Annie on the other end of the phone, waiting eagerly to see him embarrass himself.

Without feeling the slightest awkwardness, he curled his lips into a faint smile. "Fine. If that's what you want, then when this call ends, I'll tell Aunt Rose, 'Aunt Rose, don't keep nagging Annie from now on. You don't know this, but Annie specifically asked me to tell you that she's especially annoyed by your nagging every day, so you should talk to her less in the future.'"
