Hearing the commotion from the Ancestral Hall, the Baruch Clan Guard Captain and the butler hurried over. Under normal circumstances, they were not allowed to enter the Ancestral Hall. After calling out several times from outside and receiving no response, they discussed it and decided they could only force the doors open to investigate, lest something unexpected had happened. They could not worry about anything else, and given their relationship with Hogg, they trusted he would not blame them.

When the two entered the Ancestral Hall, they found the room in complete disarray, with Hogg unconscious to one side and Wharton already transformed. For a moment, neither knew what to do, since they had never seen a true Dragonblood Warrior transformation before. Wharton's appearance gave them quite a fright. Though they knew the Baruch clan was a Dragonblood Warrior Clan, the dragon scales covering Wharton's body still startled them badly.

However, they could still sense Wharton's faint breath, so they hurriedly carried both of them out of the Ancestral Hall.

After settling them down, they sent all the mansion servants home on leave. The fewer people who knew that Wharton could undergo Dragonblood Transformation and that Hogg had fallen unconscious, the better. After arranging for Hogg and Wharton, neither of them left, both remaining at Baruch Mansion.

By then, Wushan Town had already been drenched in a relentless downpour, as though the heavens knew of the Baruch clan's misfortune.

It was not until the following morning that Hogg awoke from his coma. After checking himself over, he found that he was not injured. He had merely been knocked unconscious and was otherwise fine.

In Wharton's bedroom, Hogg sat beside Wharton's bed. Given the unusual circumstances, Hogg had not sought out a priest to treat Wharton. He simply kept silent vigil by Wharton's side, never leaving even for a step.

Days passed one after another. Hogg had guarded Wharton for five full days. He now looked decades older than he had a few days ago, and much of his hair had turned white. Wharton's Dragonblood Transformation had already ended, yet there was still no sign of him waking. According to the clan records, such a condition generally lasted only two or three days. But five days had now passed without any indication that he would awaken, and Hogg was nearly desperate.

No one knew that within Wharton's body, a soul from Earth was slowly merging with Wharton's own soul. When the two souls completely fused, a string of names appeared in his mind. "Hogg, Linley, Baruch... What's going on? Where is this?" the soul within Wharton asked.

"Hogg, you should go get some rest. Otherwise, when Young Master Wharton wakes up and sees how you look now, he will be heartbroken too." A voice entered his mind.

"Uncle Hiri, it's all right. I just want to stay here until Wharton wakes up," Hogg replied.

"Alas."

Hiri looked at Hogg, knowing there was no use trying to persuade him. He could only let out a long sigh and prepare to leave. Just as Hiri was about to depart, he suddenly noticed one of Wharton's fingers twitch.

"Hogg, Wharton moved!" Hiri said excitedly.

Hearing Hiri's reminder, Hogg turned toward Wharton as well, staring at him excitedly. Wharton slowly opened his eyes and looked at the ecstatic Hogg, not knowing what to say.

"Wharton, you're finally awake. If anything had happened to you, I wouldn't have known how to explain it to your mother." Hogg said excitedly as he embraced Wharton.

Feeling Hogg's fatherly love, Wharton did not know what to do for a moment. Perhaps influenced by the memories of his former self, he could not help but cry as he looked at the aged Hogg.

"Father, I want to rest for a while. My head is still a little dizzy. You should get some rest too. You haven't rested properly these past few days," Wharton said after steadying his emotions.

"All right, Wharton. Rest well. We won't disturb you any longer," Hogg said happily, then left with Hiri.

After the two left, Wharton lay on the bed with an indescribable feeling in his heart. More accurately, the current Wharton was no longer the Wharton of before. He possessed two sets of memories: all the memories of a young man from Earth named Long Tian, and Wharton's own. He was a fusion of two people, unable to distinguish one from the other.
