Background / History
Wharton was born as the younger son of Hogg Baruch and the younger brother of Linley. As one of the final three members of the declining Baruch clan, he grew up under the expectation that he and Linley would restore the Dragonblood Warriors’ former glory. At six, his sixty-percent dragonblood concentration qualified him to transform, making him the clan’s greatest immediate hope. 1
His first transformation coincided with a purple streak of light descending into the Baruch ancestral hall. The event overwhelmed Hogg, was sensed across the Yulan Mainland, and drew Beirut’s attention. Wharton remained unconscious for five days afterward, during which the Earth soul of Long Tian merged with his own soul. He awoke with both lives’ memories and regarded himself as an inseparable fusion rather than solely Wharton or Long Tian. 1 2
After adapting his former world’s cultivation knowledge to the Panlong World’s elemental system, Wharton cultivated the Dragonblood Manual while developing unusually strong mental force and elemental talent. He departed Wushan Town with Hiri for the O’Brien Empire, enrolled at O’Brien Magic and Martial Academy, and began pursuing martial and magical cultivation simultaneously. 4 6 8
Appearance
Wharton was exceptionally tall for his age, standing roughly 1.4 meters at seven and 1.7 meters at twelve. 6 22
- A purple lightning-shaped Purple Mark rests on his forehead; it activates to protect his soul against a near-fatal illusion. 82
- His Dragonblood Transformation produces dragon scales and a tail. 1
- He favors sabers, later forging weapons suited to his heavy-weapon preference and Lightning Law cultivation. 11 86
Personality
Wharton is intensely disciplined and long-sighted. At the academy, he rejects competitions and public recognition because he considers them distractions from his goal of exploring the wider world and attaining true strength. He willingly accepts slower advancement when it produces a firmer foundation in battle qi, magic, and physical cultivation. 10
He is deeply protective of family, followers, and companions. He risks himself to rescue Hogg, crosses dangerous territory to find Linley, provides Hiri and his allies with pills and manuals, and builds institutions intended to protect future generations rather than only his immediate circle. 27 51 60
Wharton is generous with knowledge but ruthless toward threats. He regularly teaches Saint Domain experts, supports weaker allies with resources, and rewards loyalty; however, he can kill enemies through the pressure of his aura alone when they endanger Kane or the Four Divine Beasts Family. 78 107 305

- The Purple Mark releases cooling soul energy that destroys an illusion severe enough to threaten the collapse of his Middle God-level soul. 82

- Later bloodline-enhancing pills can strengthen magical-beast bloodlines, overcome Bloodline Withering, and trigger signs of ancestral reversion. 133
- He rewards the Moonwatch City officials with Creation Pills capable of improving cultivators’ aptitude. 272
Artifact Refining and Formations
Wharton studies Chi Yangzi’s manuals and adapts formation-based artifact refining to the Panlong World. 85
- He learns defensive, trapping, and killing formations through prolonged study and experimentation. 85
- After nearly two years of work, he produces Low-Grade Spirit Artifacts engraved with multiple formations. 86

- He practices the direct, battlefield-oriented Blood-Battle Ten Forms saber art. 11
- Even while using only one-fifth of his strength, he sends Sordis flying and remains unaffected by Gravity Space. 75
- Azure Dragon Essence Blood and repeated tempering with fused divine power eventually make his body comparable to a Sovereign Artifact. 307
- His aura alone can crush several High God-level attackers to death. 305
