"Roar, roar~~" A sudden burst of urgent roaring rang out, more frantic and anxious than ever before.
Seeing the Snow Lion like this, the entire royal palace descended into chaos. Some powerful warriors followed close behind it, rushing toward Linley's residence and charging straight inside. At that moment, in the secluded courtyard where Linley had been recuperating, there were only two corpses, along with Clyde and Linley.
The moment these powerful figures rushed in and saw the bodies on the ground, they were greatly shocked. Linley, however, showed no trace of panic. He immediately transformed into a Dragonblood Warrior.
"Bebe, don't let Clyde escape," Linley said directly to Bebe.
A dragon tail like a steel whip emerged, while spikes protruded from Linley's back and forehead. Dragon Transformation—complete Dragon Transformation!
Linley's warrior cultivation had already entered Level Eight. Once he transformed, he reached the peak of Level Nine.
Yet Linley still did not wish to kill Clyde outright. Ever since learning about his mother, he had not intended to let him die so easily. Although Wharton had already given him the answer, Linley still wanted to hear Clyde admit it himself.
Clyde had possessed a defensive scroll bestowed by the Radiant Church, but before Linley's attack, it shattered after just one blow. With the immense strength of a Dragonblood Warrior added to his current attacks, Linley's power was nearly comparable to that of an ordinary Saint Domain expert. Destroying this magic scroll was therefore easy.
Looking at Linley, whose body was covered in scales and whose back bristled with spikes, Clyde felt terror like never before. He had only been a Level Nine Warrior for a few years. He still had so much time left to enjoy himself—was it all going to end like this?
Seeing Linley effortlessly destroy the magic scroll on his body, Clyde stared at him in disbelief. He could not understand it at all. Were Ultimate Warriors truly this powerful? A Level Nine Warrior possessing attacks comparable to the Saint Domain—was that the terrifying aspect of an Ultimate Dragonblood Warrior, the reason its legend had endured across the continent despite not appearing for thousands of years?
Clyde was on the verge of collapse. His Destiny's Protection could withstand attacks from ordinary Saint Domain experts, yet it had crumbled beneath Linley's strike.
Looking at Linley's attack, Clyde realized that even at his peak, he would not have been a match for Linley now. Much less when he currently possessed less than a tenth of his former strength!
"Whew!" Clyde took a deep breath, desperately suppressing the fear in his heart. Then he suddenly sprang toward the window.
Linley had clearly anticipated this outcome long ago and had already told Bebe to keep watch over Clyde. Although Bebe was only a Peak Level Eight Magical Beast, his speed surpassed even that of ordinary Peak Level Nine Magical Beasts, and his attacks were even more terrifying.
Bebe struck Clyde with a claw. Clyde's entire body flew like a meteor and smashed viciously into the edge of the window, shattering it before rolling into the courtyard. The ground cracked inch by inch.
"Still trying to run?"
Before Bebe, Clyde, a Level Nine Warrior, had no ability to fight back at all. He looked utterly bedraggled, with none of his former calm dignity remaining. His internal organs were nearly shattered. If Linley had not told Bebe not to kill Clyde, Bebe could have slain him in a single move.
In Dragon Transformation, Linley was incredibly fast in both attack and movement. His gaze turned cold as he looked at the guards flooding in from outside the door, yet his expression did not change in the slightest. He merely watched them coldly.
"Kill one, kill one. Kill two, kill two. However many come, I'll kill them all." His voice was icy. Combined with the look in his eyes after transforming into a Dragonblood Warrior, a single glance made the guards feel chilled to the bone. Linley's mind was already filled with hatred, and none of his usual elegance remained. A frigid killing intent radiated from his entire body, making the temperature throughout the estate seem to drop several degrees at once.
But although these guards knew they were no match for him, they had been brainwashed from childhood to protect their king. That conviction supported them, leaving them without the slightest thought of retreat. They still charged forward fearlessly with weapons in hand. Yet faced with such an overwhelming gap in strength, their numbers offered them no advantage whatsoever.
