"Don't think that means we'll help you. To us, someone like you who destroyed Konoha is even worse than Naruto. At least he protected Konoha's villagers."
He had originally believed that once Akatsuki Village broke away from Konoha, it would inevitably be besieged by the entire Ninja World. With every major ninja village applying pressure together, Akatsuki Village would sooner or later fall apart under resistance.
