"What?!"
Fugaku Uchiha stared fixedly at Naruto's eyes, all the color draining from his face at once.
"How do you have the Sharingan—Mangekyō Sharingan at that?! Could it be...?!"
Naruto curled his lips.
"You guessed right. They were Shisui's."
"Bullshit! With Shisui's skills, how could he have died by your hand?"
Fugaku's face turned as green as iron, and the voice forced from his throat cracked.
Naruto spread his hands, making no attempt to hide it.
"He didn't die by my hand. I snatched them from Danzo."
He glanced at the rings of white stones in the courtyard, his tone as casual as if he were making small talk.
"Your son is holding onto one of Shisui's Mangekyō Sharingan too. His eyes are exactly like yours."
Fugaku's mind exploded with a boom.
He had thought he was the only one in the world to awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan, yet in just this short while, three pairs had appeared.
Before Konoha was founded, the Uchiha Clan had only produced Madara and Izuna's two pairs of Mangekyō Sharingan.
"Don't stare at me like that. Another pair showed up on the night of the Nine-Tails attack too."
Naruto eyed him from the corner of his eye, every word barbed.
"You know who controlled the Nine-Tails?!"
Fugaku abruptly pressed a step forward.
Naruto looked at him as though he were an idiot.
"You don't actually think that once you explain the Nine-Tails incident, Konoha's higher-ups will be willing to sit at the same table as the Uchiha Clan, do you?"
Fugaku froze.
Naruto gave a cold laugh.
"Guarding against the Uchiha Clan was a policy set by the Second Hokage. And who was the Third? Tobirama Senju's disciple. Ever since he was little, all he heard were stories about how evil the Uchiha were."
