The stemmed glass in his hand shattered under his grip, spilling all the expensive red wine inside.
"True God of Death—" Hades sprang from his seat, unfathomable, suffocating magic power rippling around him. He slammed the shards in his hand onto the table before him. As the broad, long table shattered with a crash, he growled through a dark, stony expression, "You have angered the demons!!!"
The instant he finished speaking, a terrifying, utterly savage surge of magic power erupted around him. The violently rampaging power tore every chair nearby into mangled fragments—a clear indication of just how furious he was!
"Not only did you kill Zancrow, now you've killed Bluenote as well. It seems you're determined to make an enemy of me, True God of Death! Since you're so eager to die, I shall oblige you! I'll show you the terror of offending a demon of the abyss!!!"
Hades had been monitoring Achill's movements through his "eye" all along. The moment he saw Achill wield his magic with complete freedom and utterly overwhelm Bluenote, he knew something had gone terribly wrong! Sure enough, before long, Bluenote—the vice guild master of the mighty Grimoire Heart, whose strength was second only to his own—died at Achill's hands, his face twisted with unwillingness.
