Background / History

Ginkaku was one of the Hidden Cloud Village’s Gold and Silver Brothers, alongside Kinkaku. Both had consumed the Nine-Tails’ chakra, granting them access to a Nine-Tails chakra cloak and a rudimentary Tailed Beast Transformation. Their chakra later became a possible substitute for the Nine-Tails’ chakra in the Akatsuki’s plan to revive the Ten-Tails. 189 235

His history is closely tied to the Gold Horn Unit’s ambush involving the Second Hokage and Second Raikage. Historical accounts state that Kinkaku and Ginkaku were killed by the Second Hokage after the operation, but Sashō later disputes the official version, claiming that Konoha shinobi killed the Second Raikage and that later records concealed the truth. 39 50

During the Fourth Shinobi World War, Ginkaku returns as part of the reanimated Gold and Silver Brothers Unit. Upon arriving at the Allied Forces’ coastal front, he identifies Darui as a prominent Cloud shinobi and immediately attacks him. 226
