The next morning.

After a night's rest, Youquan and the other two were all full of energy.

"Youquan, Xiaoxiao. It seems Shrek Academy's registration isn't until tomorrow. How about we explore Suotuo City today?" Ning Rongrong suggested.

"I have no problem with that. What about you, Xiaoxiao?" Youquan looked at Xiaoxiao.

After hesitating for a moment, Xiaoxiao nodded in agreement.

The three of them quickly got dressed and prepared to head out together.

As soon as they came downstairs and reached the lobby, they saw a plainly dressed boy. He looked twelve or thirteen years old and wore a light-blue fitted outfit. Around his waist was a belt set with twenty-four jade stones. His shoulder-length black hair hung loose, and though he was not particularly handsome, he gave off an approachable feeling. A faint smile always rested on his lips.

Beside him stood a beautiful girl. She was tall and slender, her long black hair braided into a neat scorpion braid that fell all the way to her calves. She was extremely pretty and had a lively, charming air about her, completely different from Ning Rongrong and Xiaoxiao.

Youquan and Ning Rongrong only gave them a casual glance before discussing where they should go shopping.

Xiaoxiao, however, unconsciously stopped walking and looked at the two with a complicated expression.

Noticing this, Youquan and Ning Rongrong followed Xiaoxiao's gaze. Youquan also began studying the pair, wondering what was so special about them that Xiaoxiao was staring so intently.

The boy stepped forward and said to the clerk at the counter, "Please give us two rooms."

The clerk looked the two of them over. Seemingly thinking of something, he said to the boy with an ambiguous expression, "Sorry, sir, but we only have one room left."

Seeing the boy hesitate, the clerk immediately explained, "Don't worry, sir. Our rooms are very spacious—more than enough for two people." As he spoke, he gave the boy a knowing look.

Youquan understood what he meant and let out a soft laugh.

The boy and girl noticed and turned to look at the three of them.

Youquan smiled awkwardly.

After one glance, the girl looked away and shook the boy's arm. "One room is fine. Haven't we always stayed together anyway? What's the big deal? We can use the money we save to buy pretty clothes. Isn't that great?"

The boy shook his head helplessly and said to the clerk, "All right, then please give us that room."

Seeing there was no more gossip to watch, Youquan prepared to leave for their shopping trip. She tugged Xiaoxiao and asked, "Xiaoxiao, shall we go?"

"Let's go." Xiaoxiao withdrew her gaze and prepared to go shopping with the other two.

Just as the three were about to leave the lobby, a frivolous male voice rang out. "I'd say that room should belong to me."

The boy and girl who were checking in at the counter turned around at the same time. Youquan and the others were also drawn to the voice.

The speaker was a young but very tall boy. He had broad shoulders and a narrow waist, with long golden hair casually draped over his back. What drew everyone's attention was his pair of mismatched eyes.

The moment he appeared, Youquan and the other two frowned, because he had an arm around each of two tall women who looked almost exactly alike.

Xiaoxiao was the most shocked of everyone present, because she recognized them at once. The boy and girl who had checked in first were none other than the founder of the Tang Sect and his wife, Tang San and Xiaowu.

As for the golden-haired man, he was Dai Mubai, the eldest of the Shrek Seven Devils. Xiaoxiao was stunned because Shrek Academy's records stated that Dai Mubai and Zhu Zhuqing had been deeply in love and even possessed a Martial Soul Fusion Skill. They had been a couple envied by all.

Yet now, Xiaoxiao was seeing Dai Mubai bring a pair of twin sisters to rent a room.

Xiaoxiao could not help wondering whether everything she had seen in her dreams was real.

Just as Xiaoxiao began doubting herself, Dai Mubai walked to the counter and asked the clerk, "You're new here, aren't you? Don't you know that you're supposed to keep a room reserved for me at all times?"

The clerk froze for a moment before cautiously asking, "May I ask who you are?"

Dai Mubai said impatiently, "Get your manager over here!"

Afraid that he had truly offended someone important, the clerk immediately went to call the manager.

Tang San's expression also cooled as he said to Dai Mubai, "Big brother, it seems we arrived first."

Dai Mubai looked arrogant. Without even turning his head, he mocked Tang San, "So what?"

Xiaowu's temper flared instantly. In a flash, she appeared at Tang San's side and shouted, "So what? Get lost!"

"Rongrong, if I heard correctly, that blond guy just said this room had always been reserved for him by this hotel, right?" Youquan doubted her own ears after hearing the girl's words.

"I heard it too," Ning Rongrong said quietly.

No one on Dai Mubai's side noticed Youquan's group. Dai Mubai's icy gaze fell on Xiaowu, and he seemed to laugh in anger. "Good. It's been a long time since anyone dared speak to me like that. You both seem to have Soul Power fluctuations. You should be Spirit Masters, right? Then come at me together. If you can beat me, the room is yours. Otherwise, the two of you can personally demonstrate what it means to roll."

"A Soul Elder, and he really knows how to put on airs," Youquan muttered.

Just as the two sides were about to fight, the clerk returned with the manager.

Hearing their argument, the manager hurriedly tried to mediate. "Let's talk this out, everyone. Please don't start fighting."

Dai Mubai gave the sweating manager a dismissive glance and mocked, "Manager Wang, your Rose Hotel is getting better and better at doing business, huh?"

Manager Wang immediately forced a smile. "Young Master Dai, please don't say that. The clerk is new and didn't know which room was specially reserved for you. We're terribly sorry. We'll arrange a room for you right away."

Manager Wang then turned to Tang San and Xiaowu with an apologetic expression. "I'm sorry, you two. That room was reserved by Young Master Dai. The new clerk was inexperienced and accidentally gave it to you. It was entirely a mistake. Please go to another hotel, and we will cover all your expenses."

Tang San had originally intended to let the matter go, but Xiaowu beside him immediately flew into a rage. She jumped out and pointed at Dai Mubai. "We refuse to give it up! Don't think you can bully us just because we're young!"

Dai Mubai sneered. "You can't leave now even if you want to. After all, insulting me isn't something you can walk away from so easily."

A battle was on the verge of breaking out.
