"This is simply unbelievable..."
Manus looked at the rabbit housed in a cage of its own, missing one leg. Two silver rabbit legs lay on the workbench beside it.
He had confirmed that the new Restoration Potion could restore a newly grown limb more than once... This was an effect the original Restoration Potion had never possessed.
Restoring a limb over and over again seemed to go beyond merely replacing missing body parts.
But such a powerful effect did not come without a price. Although he had yet to determine whether the effect lasted indefinitely or only worked a limited number of times, he could confirm that regenerating limbs consumed a considerable amount of resources.
The rabbit in the cage was proof enough. After regenerating twice more, for a total of three legs, it had been reduced to nothing but skin and bones. Now, the missing leg had only regenerated halfway before the process stalled, and the rabbit was barely a breath away from death.
Manus fed it some potion, but this process consumed more than just vitality. Even its flesh had shriveled away, and not even his healing potion could make flesh multiply rapidly.
Strictly speaking, the rabbit currently had no missing parts or similar injuries elsewhere on its body. It was simply too thin.
"The restoration effect won't drain its vitality to the point of death. Whether it can be controlled still needs testing."
The rabbits in the Creature Garden were ordinary rabbits, with no magic and little intelligence. Even if limb restoration could be controlled, this stupid rabbit would instinctively keep choosing to restore itself until it was drained dry.
"Besides that..."
Manus looked at the stump on the rabbit, which seemed to be writhing.
The healing potion had a simple name, but it was a precious
