Arc 25Knowledge Shared and Restored

Manus refined potions that healed wounds and regrew limbs, while his lessons and inventions encouraged Ravenclaw students to pursue and share knowledge. He ended the stretch closer to his goal of influencing the Wizarding World, as classes interrupted the students’ new enthusiasm for learning.

  • Manus taught Petunia magical theory and began helping her condense magical power while continuing his Hogwarts routine.
  • Manus developed a Wound-Healing Potion that removed scars and tested a Restoration Potion that regrew a rabbit’s severed leg as a functioning golden limb.
  • Slughorn examined Manus’s Restoration Potion and judged his Beauty Potion paper ready for publication, offering to submit it.
  • Manus told Sybill he would respect her choices unless she endangered her life, and later gave Barty Jr. a Wolfsbane Potion while discussing magic that used materials.
  • Manus encouraged Ignis to play chess more aggressively and explained how layered Filling Charms made his enchanted teapot work.
  • Ignis activated the teapot’s chart-based charms, sampled its drinks, and nearly passed out after drinking strong wine.
  • Manus revealed the teapot’s ninety overlapping charms to Bellows and answered Ravenclaw students’ questions, encouraging them to investigate and share knowledge.

Arc 26The Wizard Sage Party

Manus weathered a Slytherin confrontation and watched Voldemort and Dumbledore’s battle devastate Hogsmeade, while his healing potion was validated and his organization took shape. He ended the stretch by challenging Dumbledore over the Resurrection Stone and the roots of his desire to bring back the dead.

  • Manus rejected Amycus’s appeal to blood status and redirected the Slytherins’ spells into an explosion that injured fifty-seven students, then escaped serious punishment by claiming their magic had collided.
  • Manus watched Voldemort and Dumbledore fight in Hogsmeade, where Fiendfyre killed wizards and destroyed much of the village before Voldemort escaped with half his body.
  • Manus sold Madam Pomfrey all eighty-seven bottles of his Wound-Healing Potion, which passed its efficacy test, and Bellows considered buying the potion for his mother.
  • Manus recruited students into the Wizard Sage Party, offered research work and redeemable credits, and accepted Ignis after he signed the organization’s contract.
  • Manus considered Regulus Black’s application, assigned a test of his abilities and beliefs, and listed research rewards and protective items for party members.
  • Manus discovered that Beauty Potion helped the Restoration Potion create silver prosthetic limbs, then began developing versions for people with disabilities.
  • Manus challenged Dumbledore to discuss the Deathly Hallows, explained his views of the Elder Wand, Invisibility Cloak, and Resurrection Stone, and asked whether Dumbledore’s wish to resurrect someone had begun only recently.
