Background / History

Yamamoto founded the Gotei 13 and serves as its Captain-Commander. He is regarded as Soul Society’s strongest Soul Reaper and wields Ryūjin Jakka, described as its strongest Zanpakutō. His military authority is substantial enough that Central 46 acknowledges the Gotei 13 would not exist without him and the army he built 1 9.

After discovering Shuichi’s innate Second-Class Spiritual Might, Yamamoto judged the Genji School curriculum insufficient and personally assumed responsibility for his Reiatsu-control training.
