Obito Uchiha said matter-of-factly, "Of course we're on the side of justice."
Raiga Kurosuki sneered. "I have no interest in playing ninja games with you. Since you refuse to leave, then leave your lives here."
As soon as he spoke, a thick mist suddenly rose around them.
"The Hidden Mist Technique?" Hizashi tensed up. Hidden Mist Village was famous for its silent killing techniques, and the Seven Ninja Swordsmen were among the very best assassins.
Suddenly, a bolt of lightning struck down from the sky. Hizashi hurriedly dodged, but the instant he moved aside, a streak of lightning shot toward him from the mist.
"Rotation!"
Hizashi did not dare let his guard down. He spun like a vortex, instantly deflecting the incoming lightning and blowing away the surrounding mist as well.
"I see you."
The instant Hizashi ended his Rotation, his feet landed in the proper position of the Eight Trigrams formation.
"Gentle Fist Art: Eight Trigrams Two Palms, Four Palms..."
After a string of attacks, Raiga was beaten back again and again, barely able to fight back.
"Get him, get him!" Obito Uchiha waved his arms excitedly. "I didn't expect Senior Hizashi to be this strong."
Before this, he had seen Hizashi only dare to send Setsuna to rescue people, so he had assumed Hizashi was some kind of "desk-bound Jonin."
"As expected of a Jonin from the prestigious Hyuga Clan." Kakashi was stunned.
He had heard of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen. They were top-tier experts in Hidden Mist Village, second only to the Mizukage. He had not expected Senior Hizashi to gain the upper hand even against someone like this.
"This is a little troublesome." Raiga was rather surprised. He had originally thought dealing with an obscure Konoha Jonin would not be difficult, but it seemed he had underestimated his opponent.
Raiga calmly dealt with Hizashi's attacks, but Kaz, who was watching from the sidelines, could no longer wait. If he did not perform the blood sacrifice soon, his body would collapse.
"Lord Raiga, what are you doing? Hurry up and use the Thunder God Sword to defeat him!"
"The Thunder God Sword?" Hizashi was shocked. Of course he had heard of the Thunder God Sword's renown, but wasn't it kept in the village?
Raiga was somewhat dissatisfied. He did not want to reveal the Thunder God Sword too early, as that might draw Konoha's pursuit. At the very least, he wanted to wait until he had mastered the essence of Three-Sword Style.
But he still had a ninja's sense of professional ethics. Hearing his employer's demand, he could only draw the Thunder God Sword and clamp it between his teeth.
"Tremble. You will be the first ninja to witness the power of my Three-Sword Style."
Hizashi's vigilance rose to its peak, but he still could not help complaining, "Could you not talk while biting a sword? It's hard to understand you."
"Hmph, trash ninja who doesn't understand the sophistication of my swordsmanship." Raiga was quite annoyed. Shouldn't ordinary people be shocked and full of praise when they saw his Three-Sword Style?
Raiga flashed forward, his three blades dancing wildly. His offensive was as fierce as a raging storm, lightning flashing brilliantly as he pressed forward step by step. Hizashi was overwhelmed for a moment, unable to find even an opening to use Rotation.
This is bad. If Setsuna were here, how would he deal with him? Hizashi could not help thinking.
Ordinary ninja would never fight him at close range, while against a close-combat ninja like Raiga Kurosuki, his Eight Trigrams Palm was difficult to land. Taijutsu ninja still had too many limitations in actual combat.
"You dare lose focus while fighting me?" Raiga sneered. The chakra blade on his sword suddenly surged, and just as he had pierced Might Guy earlier, he sent Hizashi flying.
"Teacher Hizashi!" Shizune hurried forward to treat him.
"Haha, my Three-Sword Style really is invincible!" Raiga raised both hands, already imagining himself defeating the Mizukage and becoming the Mizukage himself.
At that moment, Obito Uchiha suddenly pointed behind Raiga and shouted in delight, "Great! It's Teacher Minato Namikaze and Big Brother Setsuna!"
Raiga snickered. "Trying to trick me into turning around so you can sneak attack me? Heh, do you think such petty tricks can fool me?"
However, everyone opposite him wore strange expressions, as though they were desperately holding back laughter. The feeling made his scalp tingle.
Is there really someone behind me? Impossible. I didn't sense any chakra at all. And if it were an ordinary person, there's no way even I wouldn't notice their movements. Thinking that, Raiga completely relaxed.
(If chakra is hidden, it cannot be sensed.)
"Haha, turn to charcoal beneath the wrath of thunder!" Raiga raised his twin blades high, preparing to summon lightning.
But in the next instant, a pair of strong arms brutally snatched the twin blades from his hands.
"So this is the Thunder Blade: Fang? Using it to draw lightning and temper the body is not a bad use for it."
Hearing the appraisal from behind him, Raiga leaped more than ten meters away in fright. He then sprinted over a hundred meters before turning around. Cold sweat streamed down his face as he stared at where he had been standing. A tall yet youthful-looking boy was casually playing with his twin blades.
"There really was someone? How?" Raiga muttered.
Setsuna chuckled. It seemed the Dragon Ball World's technique for concealing one's ki worked perfectly well for hiding chakra too.
As for locating people by sound, with his movement technique, he could approach anyone without them noticing.
"Looks like I do have a talent for being an assassin. Unfortunately, I still prefer the simple, brutal kind of 'assassination' where I wipe out all my enemies." Setsuna smiled faintly and gave up on the idea of becoming an assassin.
Raiga calmed down and said in a low voice, "Return the Thunder Blades to me, and I will leave immediately."
Setsuna laughed. "You want the Thunder Blades back, and you want to leave too? You really want all the good things."
Raiga was somewhat surprised. "You want to keep me here too?"
"Is there a problem with that?" Setsuna asked.
"Heh, I really have been underestimated." Raiga sneered as he removed the Thunder God Sword from his mouth and gripped it with both hands. "Do you really think the Seven Ninja Swordsmen rely entirely on those swords? Besides, I have an even better weapon now."
Kakashi warned, "Senior, be careful. That's the Thunder God Sword."
"The Thunder God Sword?" Setsuna was somewhat surprised.
"That's right. It was your Second Hokage's weapon. Let me show you how it should be used." Raiga activated its lightning glow and charged at Setsuna with wild laughter. He did not believe some brat could use his weapon properly.
Then he saw Setsuna pull his right arm back to a certain extent before suddenly swinging it around and throwing it.
"That idiot actually used my Thunder Blade as a Shuriken!" Raiga's eyes nearly burst into flames. He cherished his Thunder Blades beyond measure, yet the other party had used one so crudely. It broke his heart.
Raiga instinctively swung the Thunder God Sword at the Thunder Blade, intending to deflect its force before taking it back.
The instant the Thunder God Sword blocked it, Raiga's expression changed. It felt as though he had not stopped a blade, but a mountain flying through the air, and he was blasted away.
"Hold!" Raiga gritted his teeth and endured, his face flushing red from the strain. But he did not dare let go. If he did, the Thunder Blade would pierce straight through his chest.
At that moment, the other Thunder Blade came flying over as well.
Under Raiga's despairing gaze, the blade sent him flying before finally pinning him to a wall.
Raiga stared blankly into the distance, the light gradually fading from his eyes. As he neared death, a thought surfaced in his heart: Was this the proper use of the Thunder Blades?
