Kha'Zix of the Venomfang Clan felt his luck had been rotten lately.
He had thought that with the Allied Forces directing the operation and a Crown Tier powerhouse leading it, the human governor from the Empire could never survive. On the day of the assassination attempt, he had even drawn up plans to take over the Black Marsh Clan's territory afterward.

He knew Krus fairly well. The Crown Tier powerhouse was famously bold yet meticulous.
Assassination, in particular, had been his specialty.
There was no way he would have made such an obvious mistake.
There was almost certainly a mole within the Allied Forces. How else could that human from the Empire have anticipated their assassination attempt? Of course, Kha'Zix knew he couldn't say that aloud.
Otherwise, those three transcendent Mages might execute him on the spot for undermining morale.
So, however unwillingly, he had agreed to let those damned envoys dump the blame on the Froststar Clan.
