Marlene was not intimidated by the enemy's momentum. Leading the charge, the knights commanded an elite order that plunged into the flowing brown tide like a red-hot blade.

The human knights, individually far stronger, swiftly slaughtered the scattered Undead soldiers and Ghouls fighting on their own.

The High Elf rangers led by Lunse Hawkspear did not join the charge.

It was not cowardice. They used their precise arrows to kill the Undead soldiers tangled in close combat with the Scarlet Crusade knights, while also keeping watch over the Gargoyle force that had followed them all the way, preventing the Undead from attacking from both front and rear.
