Roderick received Abbendis's signal immediately. That strong-willed knight would never summon him unless she had encountered a problem she could not resolve.

Remilia had already returned to Dalaran to continue her studies, while the Raven Guard Knights' affairs proceeded in orderly fashion. That allowed him to breathe a sigh of relief as well.

After arranging the other matters according to plans he had prepared long ago, Roderick packed his personal equipment, took Augustine with him, and set off for Northrend.

To reach Chillwind Camp as quickly as possible, they each took two horses. They first arrived at the ruins of Tarren Mill, followed the main road to the former royal capital of Alterac, then passed through Strahnbrad, controlled by the Syndicate, and continued north to the camp established by the Alliance forces and the Silver Dawn. Unfortunately, night had already fallen, and they would have to wait until dawn the next day to ride a gryphon.

Roderick decided they would camp there for the night. They handed their warhorses over to the local grooms, and after resting for the night, they would head to the chapel in the Eastern Plaguelands the next day before going to Tyr's Hand to see what had happened.

Augustine removed his armor and ate the rough dinner provided by the camp before finally asking, "Roderick, what happened this time that we have to rush to Northrend?"

"I once made a promise to that messenger. It is hard to say for now; you will know when we meet her. But this matter has a great deal to do with the Scarlet Crusade. It will not violate your principles, will it?" Roderick ate the sticky bean soup and hard black bread, seemingly completely unaffected by their foul sour stench.
