"High General Abbendis has led the guards loyal to her in a forced attack on Tyr's Hand. They have already reached the gates. The situation is critical." The reporting officer looked astonished. With the threat of the Scourge looming, the High General had actually directly provoked a civil war within the Scarlet Crusade.
"Taelan Fordring, begin gathering the soldiers. We have no choice but to eliminate the rebellious Abbendis. The Scarlet Crusade will not tolerate such conduct." After receiving the report, High Inquisitor Isillien calmly issued his orders. This time, he did not pursue the messenger's mistake of still addressing Abbendis as High General.
He would not allow Abbendis to continue opposing the entire Crusade. Her father would surely forgive what he had done.
The Scarlet Crusade's mission would certainly be fulfilled.
"Abbendis, lay down your weapons and surrender immediately. This is your last chance." Someone on the city walls began calling out.
"High Inquisitor, where is Isillien? I have something to say to him." Abbendis's clear voice carried through the wind.
"If you are still going to repeat those excuses, there is no need to speak. The Crusade will let the swords in our hands do the talking." Isillien's face seemed to have aged a little more.
"I am willing to go to Stratholme and confront Dathrohan face-to-face. If the facts prove that I am wrong, Abbendis will willingly enter Stratholme and fight the Undead to the death. I will not withdraw until the city is reclaimed." Before every member of the Scarlet Crusade, Abbendis staked her future and her life.
"Do not hesitate any longer. According to our previous agreement, it is time once again to send reinforcements to Stratholme." Abbendis continued to urge them loudly.
Abbendis's oath set the other officers of Tyr's Hand whispering among themselves.
