| Saint-tier Grand Arcanist / Spell Saint | 21, 38 | Reached the Saint tier after fleeing Pandor with his mentor. His rank lets him conceal Arcane presence with an isolation barrier and places him near Kanado’s known pinnacle of spellcasting. |
Background / History
Odovish was born in the frozen north, in the territory of the Snow Duke and near the former Alchemy City of Pandor. “Snow” is only his middle name; he inherited both the Snow and Weston names as the last imperial heir of Itarigis. He knew Pandor’s former grandeur mainly through his mother’s stories and never met his father. 17 29
During the War of Light, a Saint-tier arcanist betrayed Itarigis by stealing Falan’s defenses and poisoning its water supply with a potion that weakened mages. The Holy See exploited the betrayal to breach the capital with a griffin army. Odovish’s father died buying time for mages to escape, while his uncle and aunt died defending his mother. 21
Pandor fell into Ice Lake when Odovish was fifteen, ending the war and destroying the pinnacle of Kanado’s alchemical civilization. He fled with his mentor, eventually became a Saint-tier Grand Arcanist, and later committed acts cruel enough that his mentor imprisoned him beneath the Council’s mage tower for years. He was released only a few years before meeting Elufiel. 21
After his release, Odovish learned that his cousin’s daughter, Goliath, had been born and that her parents had died fighting barbarians—deaths he attributes to the Holy See’s involvement. He became a distant but devoted guardian, determined not to pass his hatred of the Arcane-Divine Conflict on to her. 21 24
Odovish encounters Elufiel while concealing his identity as an arcanist. Suspecting that she is an otherworldly traveler, he offers to teach her Common and guide her through Kanado in exchange for knowledge of Azeroth and its magical traditions. 5 7
Appearance
Odovish presents himself as a composed, aristocratic young man despite being 123 years old. His cultivated bearing remains intact even when traveling or negotiating under pressure. 21 26
- Sapphire or azure eyes. 12 28
- Often dresses in formal, immaculate robes and maintains a restrained noble demeanor. 26 28
- Has long fingers and commonly casts through small, controlled gestures. 31
- His calm expression can become notably cold or dangerous when the Holy See, Pandor, or Elufiel’s safety are involved. 40 41
Personality
Odovish is observant, intellectually curious, and cautious about accepting official histories. Although persecuted as an arcanist, he refuses to claim that morality belongs to any profession or race, arguing that every group can produce extremists. 6 17
His outward behavior is refined, reserved, and sometimes intimidating. He negotiates with measured silence, treats magical agreements seriously, and rarely reveals his motives before they are useful. Beneath this restraint lies enduring trauma from Pandor’s fall, imprisonment, and the Holy See’s persecution of arcanists. 12 27 28
He is deeply protective of those he considers his responsibility. This is most evident in his care for Goliath, Gelin, Eugene, and especially Elufiel. His concern for Elufiel increasingly manifests as jealousy and possessiveness, which he eventually recognizes in himself. 24 42
Abilities & Skills
Saint-tier Arcane Spellcasting
Odovish is a Saint-tier Grand Arcanist whose magic draws on the Ley Lines. He can fight high-ranking divine casters and Paladins while controlling the field through preparation, mobility, and layered spell use. 21 43 44

- His bloodline talent allows him to rapidly reconnect to the Ley Lines after a Holy Word Spell disrupts his casting. 43
- Ley Line instability affects spellcasters, including Odovish; warriors are not subject to this limitation. 48
Teleportation & Spatial Magic
Odovish uses Blink for rapid repositioning and is experienced with spatial formations, independent spaces, and magical gateways. 30 32 43

Concealment and Surveillance
Odovish specializes in avoiding detection by the Holy See while gathering intelligence on its movements. 38 40 41
- Created an isolation barrier capable of concealing his Saint-tier Arcane presence from lower-ranked observers. 38
- Is unaffected by confusion spells and recognizes their limitations against high priests’ True Sight. 8 10
- Uses the Eye of Omniscience, a Temple of the Stars inscription, to eavesdrop on Terrence’s hidden meetings. 40 41
- Infiltrates hostile locations alone when he judges elemental surveillance too risky. 40
Alchemy, Healing, and Curse Dispelling
Odovish possesses advanced knowledge of alchemical materials, magical afflictions, and curse removal. 14 26 35
- Identifies and dispels lethal curses, though long-term curse damage may still drain a victim’s life force. 26
- Coordinates with Elufiel’s divine magic to stabilize Eugene after curse removal. 26
- Crafts enchanted items, including a mana-filled emerald for Elufiel. 16
- Uses his own blood, containing pure Arcane energy, to stabilize Elufiel after Felweed triggers her mana addiction. 33
- Collects Moon Soul Grass for blood restoration and prepares healing potions. 14 24
Magical Contracts
Odovish can impose and enforce magical agreements, using them to protect arcanists and control dangerous disclosures. 27 28
- Forced the Lionheart Mercenary Group to swear that they had seen no arcanist during Frostmoon. 27
- Took Eugene into his custody through a contract connected to the Council. 27 28
- His contracts may carry severe or personally tailored penalties for violation. 28

Bitter City and Ata Town

Gryphon City and the Revelation of His Past
At Goliath’s home, Odovish begins revealing his true identity, Pandor’s history, the War of Light, and his own imprisonment to Elufiel. Their growing trust turns his role from formal guide to genuine companion. 17 21
Eugene and the Lionheart Agreement
Odovish helps save Eugene from a lethal curse, then demands Eugene’s custody and the Lionheart Mercenary Group’s silence as payment. He uses the resulting agreement to bring Eugene under Council protection while probing the Holy See’s involvement in McVey’s death. 26 27 30
Conflict with the Judgement Tribunal
After uncovering Terrence’s plan to locate the Council and deploy Corrupted Crystals, Odovish moves against the Judgement Tribunal. He battles Terrence’s force at the Feiyin River with Elufiel, captures Terrence alive, and secures evidence of the Holy See’s human experimentation. 41 43 44 45
Return to Everlook Canyon
