Four colors of light converged wildly in the sky.
Black miasma, blue-green storms, ocher rock energy, and the dark green aura of an insect swarm surged toward the sky above Western Green Valley from the east, north, and south like four mighty rivers.
The sky took on a strange mix of colors. Clouds churned, lightning tore across the heavens, and the earth shook violently, as though something monstrous were about to burst out of it.
"It's here..."
Leorio rushed out of the underground mother nest and stared at the swelling sphere of energy in the sky, his face deathly pale.
His Nen was almost exhausted. He was covered in wounds and could barely stand.
But he knew this was no time to rest.
Gon, Killua, and Genos arrived at Green Valley almost at the same time.
All three were wounded, their breathing ragged and most of their energy spent.
Gon's arm was still bleeding. The wound in Killua's side was deep enough to expose bone. Genos's left arm was completely destroyed, and his Core Furnace had less than ten percent energy remaining.
But when they saw the sphere of energy in the sky, every face darkened.
"So this is... the fusion?"
Gon clenched his fists, his voice tight.
A massive outline was slowly taking shape inside the sphere.
First came the Insect Mother's enormous, writhing torso. Then the Mountain-Crushing Giant Armor's thick rocky shell covered it. Next came the Sky-Submerging Vortex Emperor's enormous wings of storm, and finally the Bone-Eroding Miasma Beast's huge head, spewing poisonous fumes without end.
The traits of the Four Calamities had fused perfectly.
