Just as they left the lockdown zone, Bai Zhu suddenly remembered the detector in the corner of the altar.
"Milluki."
"What?"
"Can you find Pariston?"
Milluki paused, then stuffed his bag of snacks into Piyu's hands.
His eyes immediately lit up.
"Yes."
"I've wanted to dig up his address for ages. That bastard hacked my equipment. As long as he didn't completely destroy all his devices, I can trace the data packets back to him."
"How long?"
"Don't rush me like you did earlier."
"I can pay."
"Ten minutes."
Milluki sat directly on the hood of an armored vehicle and connected three portable devices. Code rapidly streamed across the screens, and three red dots appeared one after another.
One was in the warehouse district northwest of the harbor.
One was at an abandoned sanatorium to the south.
The last was hidden in a private safe house on a hillside outside the city.
Milluki crunched on a chip.
"Three signals. All of them have data transmission records, and all of them have life-monitoring feedback."
Bai Zhu looked at Morel.
"Check them one by one?"
Morel took out some tobacco and refilled his pipe.
"Pariston likes making other people choose. The moment you trust the options he gives you, you're likely to fall into a trap."
"Then what do we do?"
"Watch them all."
Three Purple Smoke Soldiers emerged from Morel's pipe. He had the Smoke Soldiers monitor the first two locations while the group headed out of the city.
Half an hour later, Bai Zhu kicked open the door to the private safe house.

The door slammed into the wall, knocking down a layer of dust.
