Background and History

Sabo was taken in by the Revolutionary Army as a child after losing his memory. He grew into one of its indispensable strategists and fighters, but did not remember his sworn brothers, Ace and Luffy 168 191.

Hearing Ace’s name restored Sabo’s memories. He was overjoyed, though he initially treated the news with caution because he could not explain how Ace had been found. The brothers reunited at Whiskey Peak, where Sabo answered Ace’s fiery greeting with Dragon Claw before embracing him 191 192.

Sabo has short blond hair and a burn scar on the right side of his face 191.

Personality

Sabo is usually serious, composed, and cautious. Even after recovering his memories, he considered whether the apparent reunion could be a trap before contacting Revolutionary Army commanders 191 192. He is capable of admitting mistakes: after Doflamingo defeated him, he acknowledged that he had underestimated a Shichibukai rather than blaming the opponent’s sudden increase in power 274.
