Seeing him stay silent, Xiao Ai grew angrier the more she thought about it. "Do you know how hard I worked to develop this ability?! How much effort I put into locating Yezi, how many brain cells I killed? And you didn't even ask anything or look around?"

She had only just developed this ability. She did not even know how long its cooldown would be. She had given Feitan this chance because she thought that, given how much he cared about Yezi, he would surely make good use of it.

And now it had all gone to waste. All her hard work had been for nothing.

Feitan buried his face in his scarf. "Someone was beating Yezi, so I rushed over and beat them up. I forgot everything else."
