In the pavilion, Ye Chen held the little one as he basked in the warm afternoon sunlight. A gentle breeze stirred the father and daughter's hair. Everything was quiet and peaceful.

At some point, the little one had fallen asleep in his arms.

Before long, Smoker arrived at the pavilion with a grim expression. Without saying a word, he sat down and stared blankly at the scenery outside.

Watching Sakura fly away, Smoker turned and looked at Ye Chen with restrained anger.

Picking up the teapot on the stone table, Ye Chen poured a cup of Bitter Tea and pushed it in front of Smoker. "This world values strength. You understand that, don't you? Besides, my situation isn't very good. Maybe one day, I won't be able to protect her anymore. When that happens, she'll have to protect herself."
