Kizaru held his hands before him, and a path of light refracted into being. He dodged Zephyr's Seastone Bullets from side to side, then brought the Ama no Murakumo down hard against him.
Rubble flew. Amid flashing blades, the two became blurs locked in a ceaseless clash. A massive explosion sent Zephyr skidding sideways, where he dropped to one knee, panting.
Kizaru landed lightly and wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth. His eyes turned vicious.
"Hehahaha! Borsalino, you're a Marine Admiral. Don't tell me you can't even beat an old man with one foot in the grave!"
Zephyr stood and wiped the blood from his mouth, his voice dripping with mockery.
Anger flickered across Kizaru's darkened face. He vanished in a burst of photons and appeared before Zephyr an instant later, lashing out with a kick.
The tremendous force exploded on impact. Zephyr raised his mechanical arm to shield his face and drove a knee forward, while Kizaru fired a Laser from his hand.
Zephyr grunted and staggered back two steps, struggling to hold off Kizaru's Ama no Murakumo.
As the battle reached a fever pitch, several furtive figures slipped behind a reef at the edge of the battlefield.
Heads poked out one by one. Watching Kizaru batter Zephyr, Bepo said in his soft, childish voice, "Captain, that old man doesn't look like he can win."
"Who's that golden guy? Hasn't he ever heard of respecting his elders? Shameless."
