In the palace hall on God's Island in the Heaven Kingdom, Ye Chen sat on his throne with a dark expression. They had succeeded in destroying the Marines, but had failed to obtain the Op-Op Fruit.

"Why didn't you take a closer look back then?"

In the hall, Tesoro jerked his chin toward Enel.

"He ran the moment he saw me. How was I supposed to look? Besides, we don't even know if Kizaru took the Op-Op Fruit."

Enel shot back.

"Out of the entire Marine force, only a few small fry and Kizaru got away. If it wasn't that big fish, who else could it be?"

Tesoro folded his arms.

"Enough. If we didn't get the Op-Op Fruit, we'll wait for another chance."

Ye Chen cut off their argument, then turned to Kalifa. "Any movement from the World Government?"

"None, Boss." Kalifa frowned, unable to make sense of it.

"Has the World Government lost its mind? We wiped out the Marines, and they haven't reacted at all?" Enel rubbed his chin.

"Everyone outside is talking about how we destroyed the Marines. Some are even calling Boss the king of the pirates."

"Stop getting carried away. There's no way the World Government won't react to the Marines being destroyed."

Reiju cut off their boasting and rubbed her forehead. No matter how she thought about it, she couldn't make sense of it.
