He appeared in an instant, then vanished just as quickly, yet the streak of golden light kept getting caught.
Kizaru took shape again, coughing as wariness filled his eyes.
A member of the Five Elders descended from the sky. Dressed in a black suit, with curly hair streaked in different colors, a bushy beard, and a flat cap, he stared at Kizaru with murderous intent.
"Kizaru, you traitor."
Kizaru swept his hands out, forming an Ama no Murakumo. "I was never one of the Marines to begin with," he said with a sneer.
"You die today."
The elder vanished without a sound and appeared behind Kizaru, launching a kick with tremendous force.
Kizaru turned and slashed. A blast of pressure erupted as he dissolved into golden light and disappeared.
"Kizaru, the speed of light can only bow before teleportation."
The elder appeared ahead of the golden streak, disdain in his eyes.
"Damn it."
Kizaru cursed inwardly and plunged from the sky as a beam of light. A shattered island broke apart beneath the impact.
The Paramecia Teleport-Teleport Fruit was absurdly powerful. Even Kizaru's speed was outmatched.
Holding his breath, Kizaru spread his Observation Haki and began searching for a weakness.

Their battle raged on. As time passed, each gained the upper hand in turn, and both suffered wounds.
