God's Island, in the back garden pavilion.

Gion was sewing clothes while Sakura sat nearby, holding Little Maple and playing with him. The atmosphere was warm and peaceful.

Ye Chen descended from the sky with the Vampire Fruit in his hand.

"Dad!"

Sakura eyed the Devil Fruit in Ye Chen's hand. "What kind of Devil Fruit is that?"

"A Mythical Zoan, Vampire Form."

Ye Chen stepped into the pavilion and set the Devil Fruit on the stone table.

"Dad, don't tell me it's for Little Maple!"

Sakura hurried over and sat down, her eyes wide. Even Gion put aside her needlework and looked at Ye Chen, a question in her eyes.

"It is."

Ye Chen nodded and smiled at the little boy in Sakura's arms.

"But Little Maple's so young..."

"He only needs one small bite." Ye Chen beckoned, and a maid promptly brought over a knife and fork.

Ye Chen cut off a piece the size of his little fingertip, took Little Maple from Sakura, and fed it to him.

"Waaah... Waaah..."

Perhaps it tasted so awful that Little Maple burst into tears.

"There, there. Your big sister will take you out to play."

Before Ye Chen had even warmed Little Maple in his arms, Sakura snatched him back and left the pavilion.

Ye Chen's mouth twitched as he watched her go. "That little brat."

"Why did you give Little Maple a Devil Fruit?"

Gion looked at Ye Chen, serious and puzzled.

"Because this Devil Fruit suits him."

Ye Chen poured himself a cup of Bitter Tea and took a sip.

"You've been rushing everything lately. Are you hiding something from me?"

Gion gripped Ye Chen's hand, anxiety in her eyes.

Just as Ye Chen opened his mouth to answer, Reiju came down the corridor.

"Boss, Tesoro and the
