Crushing Defeat

"Hey, don't hold me back!" Wyper charged straight at Enel.

"He really has no sense of teamwork." Li Ziming found Wyper even more unbearable, but he did not slow down in the slightest. Though he started later, he had already caught up to Wyper and was even beginning to pull ahead.

"You really refuse to give up." Enel did not take either of them seriously. "Wyper, your only use is that Seastone of yours restricting me for a moment. You've already used the Reject Dial in your right hand twice. Can you use it a third time?"

"You can try and find out!" Wyper swung a kick at Enel, but Enel evaded by turning elemental. Li Ziming appeared beside Enel instead, his fist coated in Haki as he struck down.

But Enel did not dodge. Instead, he aimed his palm at Li Ziming's chest. "20 Million Volts Discharge!"

Li Ziming could only dodge. Taking a 20 Million Volts Discharge head-on would definitely make him lose his ability to fight instantly.

"Take that attack head-on!" Wyper shouted at Li Ziming in dissatisfaction.

"Can you guarantee that if I catch him, you can finish him in one shot?" Li Ziming retorted. If Wyper could give him a definite answer, Li Ziming would not mind sacrificing himself. But if Wyper failed, then his sacrifice would have been completely meaningless.

"How would we know without trying?" Wyper said as if it were only natural.

"Is your brain made of shells too?" Li Ziming was starting to want to kill Wyper. How had such a reckless fool become the leader of the Shandia warriors?

"You cowardly Blue Sea person, then I'll sacrifice myself!" Wyper had long since prepared himself for death. "Just attack!" With that, Wyper charged at Enel as if he did not care about his life.

"Is this guy trying to drag me down with him too?" Li Ziming felt somewhat despairing. "Why is he so stubborn?"

Still, Li Ziming had another thought. He felt that Wyper might be trying to force him into fighting Enel, or pull him into his fighting rhythm and make him cooperate. After all, Wyper's strength was indispensable to Li Ziming right now. To keep Wyper from being defeated by Enel, Li Ziming could only do his best to cooperate with him so that he would not be fighting alone.

Wyper's fighting rhythm was incredibly desperate, entirely different from Li Ziming's habit of holding back thirty percent of his strength. Li Ziming fought prolonged battles, looking for an opportunity to win in the midst of combat and defeat his opponent with a single blow. Wyper, on the other hand, fought as though the beginning of battle meant its end—seizing the initiative and leaving his opponent no chance to strike.

Both fighting methods had their advantages and disadvantages, and it was impossible to say which was superior. But against Enel, Wyper's fighting style was clearly no longer suitable.

Enel was obviously far stronger than both of them. Even if Wyper gave it everything he had, he still could not defeat him. Moreover, Wyper had already revealed all his trump cards in the previous battle and suffered considerable damage. He had lost his chance to finish Enel in one blow. A prolonged fight would only become more disadvantageous for Wyper. His injuries and dwindling stamina would become a heavy burden. As for Li Ziming, the new unknown factor, Wyper had originally added him as another trump card. But Li Ziming had no good way to deal with Enel, a Logia user. Haki could harm Logia users, but Li Ziming could not inflict fatal damage on Enel. This left that trump card lacking in power, perhaps even useless. For a time, the two of them and Enel fell into a stalemate.

Wyper noticed this as well and grew anxious. His movements became chaotic for a moment, allowing Enel to seize the opportunity. A bolt of lightning flew toward Wyper. Wyper had no time to dodge and was struck directly, his chest scorched black.

"I hit him." Enel's expression was extremely grim. Though he had struck Wyper, the weakness he felt and his inability to use his powers made him realize that he had touched Seastone again. "That stone really is annoying!" Enel swept his golden staff toward Wyper, intending to knock him and the Seastone away together.

But Wyper took off his shoe first and dodged Enel's attack.

"Directional Blast!" At that moment, Li Ziming pressed his hand against Wyper's shoe. The force of the Directional Blast blew the shoe to pieces, and the Seastone was driven by the shockwave of the Explosion straight into Enel's body.

"It worked!" Wyper rolled over to his rocket launcher, lifted it, and aimed it at both Li Ziming and Enel.

"You bastard!" Seeing the energy beam rushing toward him, Li Ziming immediately cursed. Yet Enel grabbed him tightly at once. Left with no choice, Li Ziming kicked Enel away, then used Geppo to evade into the air. Though Enel took the kick, he avoided Wyper's attack.

Wyper charged at Enel, firing a shot at Li Ziming along the way.

"So this is how you repay me." Li Ziming charged toward Enel in annoyance. Though he desperately wanted to let Wyper taste a Big Explosion, this was clearly not the time. They did not know how deeply the Seastone had gone, nor whether Enel could dig it out himself. Dealing with Enel was still the priority.

"You think this is enough to deal with a god?" A crazed expression appeared on Enel's face. "Gods become gods not because they are respected, but because they are feared!" As he spoke, Enel reached into his own chest, tearing out the Seastone along with a large amount of flesh and blood.

"You think something like this can kill a god?" Enel raised his golden staff high, then smashed the Seastone into fragments.

"Damn it!" Wyper's face darkened. Without the Seastone, he had lost the means to fight Enel.

"So humans are fragile and insignificant before gods." Enel struck one of the drums on his back. "30 Million Volts: Thunder Bird." A bird formed from lightning flew toward Wyper. "You've done quite well to injure me this badly."

The Thunder Bird arrived before Wyper at incredible speed and instantly took away his ability to fight.

"Are you still going to fight?" Enel looked at Li Ziming.

"Ha, the winner hasn't been decided yet, has it?" Li Ziming could practically be said to have given up already, but he still felt unwilling to leave things like this.

"Boom, boom, boom!" As the drums sounded, a savage beast formed from lightning pounced toward Li Ziming.

"Tch, getting hit by lightning hurts." Li Ziming suddenly vanished, then appeared beside Enel. "Sitting around waiting to die isn't my habit!" He threw a punch at Enel, only for Enel to block it with his golden staff.

"You really won't give up." Enel seemed to have grown tired of this. "El Thor!" A thick bolt of lightning descended from above, instantly cutting off Li Ziming's retreat.

"Tch." Li Ziming's entire body instantly turned black as he collapsed.
