Battle Against a Logia

"Want me to die? Do you even know what you're saying?" Enel looked at the people before him with amusement. "Do you really know what a god is?"

Enel swept his gaze across them one by one. "An old man striving for the happiness of the holy land, warriors fighting to reclaim their homeland, Blue Sea pirates seeking gold." Enel spoke with an air of superiority. "There is far too much strife in this world. No matter what you are fighting for, the very existence of this country is a mistake."

"Enough nonsense! Just tell us what your goal is!" Gan Fall furiously pointed his spear at Enel.

"It is a return, Gan Fall." Enel's words left everyone confused. "I have somewhere I must go—the place where I was born. Everyone believes that is where gods dwell. People call it Endless Vearth, a place with land stretching as far as the eye can see. That is the land of dreams I seek. That is where I belong! Fighting over a palm-sized patch of land like God's Island for hundreds of years... it is utterly pointless!" Enel looked at them all with fervor. "Your conflicts have a deeper meaning. Think about it! Not clouds, yet born in the sky. Not birds, yet living in the sky. The foundations of this country violate the laws of nature! Dust returns to dust, earth returns to earth, humans return to humans, gods return to gods. Everything has its rightful place!"

"Don't tell me..." Gan Fall stared at Enel in shock and fury.

"It is not that serious. I merely intend to throw everyone here down below," Enel said indifferently.

Everyone was stunned. None of them had expected Enel to do something so insane.

"Sorry to interrupt." Li Ziming's sudden voice drew everyone's attention. "The residents of Sky Island—no, rather, a large portion of the residents of God's Island—were born on Sky Island, weren't they?"

"That's right." Enel did not seem anxious at all. He was quite curious about what Li Ziming wanted.

"By your logic, you merely want to throw down things that do not belong in the sky. But residents who were born on Sky Island belong in the sky, don't they? They conform to the laws of nature, so why throw them down too? If Sky Island's native inhabitants do not belong in the sky, then there are also countless people on other Sky Islands. Don't tell me you plan to travel to each one and do the same? So your real goal is to destroy every Sky Island?" Li Ziming looked at Enel with a curious expression. Enel, meanwhile, was somewhat dumbfounded.

"Endless Vearth sounds wonderful, but forgive me for saying so—the truly endless thing is the sky. Land, no matter how vast, is ultimately surrounded by the sky. So your dream was wrong from the very beginning." Li Ziming mocked Enel without mercy. "I really admire your ability to keep pursuing a mistaken dream."

"You're courting death." Enel's face darkened immensely. He vanished in an instant and appeared beside Li Ziming. "Two Million Volts, Discharge!"

"You let your guard down." Li Ziming covered his right hand in Armament Haki and sent Enel flying with a punch.

"The Rumble-Rumble Fruit's power is incredibly strong—calling it invincible would not be an exaggeration. But your knowledge and the level of your opponents have limited your development of that Devil Fruit's abilities." Li Ziming walked toward Enel. "Logias are not invincible. Seastone and Haki are both effective ways to deal with Logias, or you can exploit elemental weaknesses." At that, Li Ziming felt somewhat regretful. All the Seastone he had once collected had been taken by Crocodile to build that cage, and the cage had later been confiscated by the Marines. Had he known, he would have kept some for himself. It might have made dealing with Enel easier now.

"Haki? It is just two fists. And can you protect everyone else?" Enel pointed at Gan Fall. "Twenty Million Volts, Discharge!" The powerful current reached Gan Fall in an instant with a booming roar. In the next moment, Gan Fall's entire body turned black as he collapsed.

"One more." Enel casually pointed again, sending another bolt of lightning toward Robin.

"Damn it!" Li Ziming barely made it in front of Robin. He withdrew his Armament Haki. Armament Haki could indeed improve one's defenses to a certain extent, but how much use could that defense be against lightning of such overwhelming power depended on the individual. Li Ziming did not believe he could tear lightning apart with his bare hands, so he chose to face Enel's lightning with his strongest Devil Fruit ability.

"Explosion!" The energy generated by the explosion offset the energy of the lightning, gradually blocking Enel's attack.

"Not bad. Though it is only a Human-type, it can actually contend with my lightning. Interesting. But what about this?" In an instant, Enel unleashed three more bolts of lightning, striking toward Wyper, Zoro, and Robin respectively. The might of a Logia was fully displayed in that moment.

"Don't worry about me!" Zoro was extremely fast—or perhaps this had merely been a casual strike from Enel—and he easily dodged it.

Wyper said nothing. Riding his Waver, Wyper was even faster than Zoro. After dodging, he charged straight at Enel.

"What is that guy trying to do?" Protected by Li Ziming, Robin had naturally suffered no harm.

"Seastone. That guy should have Seastone." Li Ziming spoke to Robin. "If this attack works, Robin, seize the chance to restrain Enel."

"No problem." Robin had already prepared to activate her ability at any moment. As long as Enel was restrained by Seastone, she could instantly use her ability and lock him down with a joint hold.

"You want to attack me?" Perhaps Enel had grown too accustomed to his own arrogance. Although Li Ziming had said that Logias were not invincible, Enel still paid little attention to the charging Wyper.

"Enel!" Wyper drove his Waver directly onto Enel's body.

"Hm?" Enel froze for a moment, because he suddenly felt weak.

"Go die!" Wyper pressed his right hand against Enel's body and activated the Reject Dial.

The immense force struck Enel. Unable to turn into an element, he took the Reject Dial's full impact head-on. His internal organs felt as though they had been crushed by Sea Kings, and his heart stopped beating instantly. Blood continuously spurted from the corners of his mouth as he fell.

"Robin!" Li Ziming shouted. Several arms sprouted from Enel's body and tightly locked him down. Li Ziming then rushed to Enel's side. "Wyper, put the Seastone on Enel! Completely cut off his chance to use his abilities!"

Though Wyper was proud, he knew perfectly well what a terrifying opponent Enel was. He immediately took off the shoe on his left foot and quickly pressed it against Enel's body.

But they had still underestimated Enel's recovery speed—or perhaps they had underestimated the Rumble-Rumble Fruit's ability. A flash of lightning passed through him, restoring Enel's heartbeat. He swiftly fled the area, and in the next instant, he had appeared beside Zoro.

"That guy used an electric shock to restart his heart?!" Robin said in disbelief.

"Now isn't the time for that!" Li Ziming hurried toward Zoro. Of the people still conscious, there were two Devil Fruit users—himself and Robin—who could not use Seastone. Nami had no chance to get Seastone onto Enel, so Zoro and Wyper's fighting strength was indispensable if they wanted to use it.

But Li Ziming was clearly still slower than lightning. Enel seized Zoro's two swords and used an electric current to knock him unconscious. Then, because Li Ziming had left Robin's side, Enel took the opportunity to electrocute Robin as well.

"I never thought I would have to join forces with someone like you." Li Ziming stood beside Wyper helplessly.

"You think I want to stand beside you?" Wyper was equally displeased. "You Blue Sea people only know how to hold us back!"
