"Hahaha, we've already reached the Gates of Justice. Looks like all your companions have been killed by CP9!" Spandam said smugly.

"Oh? How did you figure that these Marines came to help you?" Li Ziming's voice reached Spandam's ears.

"Impossible! Could it be these guys have already rebelled?" Spandam was utterly shocked. After all, he absolutely had no confidence in taking Nico Robin away while being blocked by so many people alone.

"It's not that serious." Li Ziming waved his hand. "They already know about the Buster Call. They're busy trying to escape, so I'm the only one here to stop you."

"You? Go to hell!" Half of the Elephant Sword in Spandam's hand transformed into the shape of a huge elephant, while its hilt remained in Spandam's grip.

"Actually, I'm curious too. When an object eats a Devil Fruit, does it count as an object or a living creature?" Li Ziming placed one hand on the Elephant Sword. "Explosion!"

"Boom!" The Elephant Sword was blasted into countless fragments. There was no scene of blood and flesh flying everywhere—only scraps of metal scattered across the ground.

"Heh. Looks like even when an object eats a Devil Fruit, the object itself remains the dominant force within it." Li Ziming reached that conclusion.

"Mine... mine..." Spandam slumped to the ground.

"Your what?" Li Ziming appeared in front of Spandam and grabbed him by the head. He slammed Spandam's head hard against the ground. "What of yours?"

"No, no! Don't kill me..." Spandam panicked.

"I won't kill you." Li Ziming shook his head and tossed Spandam aside like a piece of garbage. "Your life isn't mine to take."

Li Ziming came to Robin's side. "Have you finally decided to keep living?"
