She prioritizes salvageable treasure even when Li Ziming wants to destroy a falling wreck, distrusts the danger of a Davy Back Fight, and favors low-risk strategies over pirate “aesthetics.” 23 37 41

Her greed does not outweigh her loyalty. She agrees to give up Alabasta’s promised one-billion-Beri reward for Vivi, remains fearful of losing crewmates in the Davy Back Fight, and stands with the crew when Aokiji demands Robin’s surrender. 22 37 42

Following Crocodile’s defeat, she joins the celebration in Alabasta and later accepts Robin’s request to join the Straw Hats, chiefly because of Robin’s diamonds. She also supports leaving the kingdom despite the loss of Vivi’s reward money. 21 22

Sky Island Journey

When a wreck falls from the sky, Nami prevents Li Ziming from blasting it apart because it may contain treasure. The discovery of a Sky Island map and Li Ziming’s claims of gold quickly turn her initial disbelief into determination to reach Skypiea. 23

She remains one of the crew members most frightened by the Knock Up Stream and the dangers of Sky Island. During the conflict with Enel, she seeks reassurance from Li Ziming after Sanji and Usopp are defeated. 27 30
