She prioritizes salvageable treasure even when Li Ziming wants to destroy a falling wreck, distrusts the danger of a Davy Back Fight, and favors low-risk strategies over pirate “aesthetics.” 23 37 41

Her greed does not outweigh her loyalty. She agrees to give up Alabasta’s promised one-billion-Beri reward for Vivi, remains fearful of losing crewmates in the Davy Back Fight, and stands with the crew when Aokiji demands Robin’s surrender. 22 37 42

Nami regularly enforces her authority through punches, sharp reprimands, and a running debt ledger against Li Ziming. Despite this, she trusts his competence in emergencies and works effectively beside him. 22 39 42

Nami is among the prisoners held in Crocodile’s Seastone cage at Rain Dinners. She remains suspicious of Li Ziming when he frees the group, but accepts that he may become an ally if Robin is rescued. 19

Following Crocodile’s defeat, she joins the celebration in Alabasta and later accepts Robin’s request to join the Straw Hats, chiefly because of Robin’s diamonds. She also supports leaving the kingdom despite the loss of Vivi’s reward money. 21 22

Sky Island Journey

When a wreck falls from the sky, Nami prevents Li Ziming from blasting it apart because it may contain treasure. The discovery of a Sky Island map and Li Ziming’s claims of gold quickly turn her initial disbelief into determination to reach Skypiea. 23

She remains one of the crew members most frightened by the Knock Up Stream and the dangers of Sky Island. During the conflict with Enel, she seeks reassurance from Li Ziming after Sanji and Usopp are defeated. 27 30

After the two-year separation, she reunites with Robin, Usopp, Chopper, Franky, and Li Ziming at Sabaody. She initially fails to recognize Li because of his changed appearance, then questions him about his artificial arm and reacts with exasperation to the crew’s transformations. 118

Fish-Man Island

Nami is uneasy about traveling to Fish-Man Island because of her traumatic experiences with Arlong and other Fish-Men. Li Ziming reassures her that Fish-Men, like humans, can be either good or evil. 64

During the battle against the New Fish-Man Pirates, she uses the Thundercloud Rod to defeat numerous Fish-Men. She is briefly immobilized by Zeo, but Brook blocks Mushi’s attack and Franky intervenes. 133

Nami helps the crew rescue the children imprisoned in the research facility. Although she initially questions whether the crew can afford to become involved, she accepts Li Ziming’s order to lead the children away while Franky protects them. 153

Law’s Shambles leaves Nami inhabiting another body, creating confusion and comic conflict throughout the escape. After Law restores her, she furiously attacks Sanji when she discovers what he did while occupying her body. 154 161

Zou and the Rescue of Sanji
