Ye Qiong's figure flickered. Sensing the Space Mark on Robin, he instantly teleported to her side. Ｗｗ ＷＣＯＭ

The scene before him blurred and shifted. They were on a crowded main street.

Robin stood before him, her bright blue hair and floral dress striking against the crowd. When she turned around, her face was streaked with tears.

The moment she saw Ye Qiong, Robin could no longer hold back. Tears spilled forth, and before he could react, her delicate body threw itself into his arms.

"Qiong... sob... my mother..." Robin kept crying, her tears soaking his clothes.

"What exactly is going on?" Ye Qiong's heart shook.

Robin actually knew that her mother had returned?

How was that possible?

"Little girl, how could your mother have come back?" Ye Qiong hurriedly asked. It felt as though certain events had strayed from their original course.

"Doctor Clover said so. My mother just returned to the Tree of Omniscience, then headed alone toward the eastern shore!" Robin could not stop crying, her hand clutching Ye Qiong's sleeve. "I couldn't catch up to her..."

Bang!

A sharp gunshot suddenly rang out from the street entrance, exposing murderous intent in the peaceful morning. It was followed by surging screams and cries of terror.

"World Government officials?!"

"What are they doing on this remote island?"

The residents who had lived on Ohara Island for so long were thrown into panicked confusion.

"The scholars of this island are studying ancient script with the intent of creating demons! Guilty!!!"

"Bring every resident who can prove they are not scholars aboard the evacuation ships!"

The commanding voice was forceful and resonant, carrying unquestionable authority.

Ye Qiong was startled and immediately pulled Robin into a concealed alley.

The scan showed a group of officials in black suits entering from the street entrance. They carried out their orders methodically, checking the residents' identities one by one before taking them away.

They were CP9 agents. How had they arrived on the island so quickly?

Doctor Clover should not have told Robin about her mother.

And Robin's mother—Olvia—was not supposed to return until tomorrow...

"This!"

Ye Qiong's face instantly turned pale. In that flash of lightning, he suddenly understood something.

Ever since he had killed two CP9 members on a secret operation yesterday, Niveya might have relayed information to the World Government while escaping. The original story had therefore undergone subtle changes, causing everything to happen ahead of time!

Only that could explain it—the time Saul appeared, the time Olvia returned, and the time CP9 came to this island had all changed and overlapped.

And Ye Qiong himself had made a terribly basic mistake—he had clearly wanted to change the original story, yet he had still considered everything according to its original direction.

"Damn it!"

Ye Qiong gritted his teeth. The black-suited inspectors were already approaching. He hugged Robin in his arms and vanished from the alley in a silver flash.

The next moment, he and Robin appeared outside the Tree of Omniscience Library.

"Doctor Clover!" Ye Qiong knocked on the library doors. They quickly opened, revealing Doctor Clover.

Doctor Clover looked anxiously at Ye Qiong. "The World Government's people are here. Quickly take Robin to the evacuation ship. As long as they do not know Robin is a scholar, you can definitely survive!"

But Ye Qiong shook his head. The evacuation ship appeared to be the island's only path to survival, but it would ultimately be bombarded and destroyed by the warship Sakazuki was on. Leaving no survivors was perfectly in line with his iron-blooded methods.

By now, there truly was nowhere left to run.

"Doctor, look after Robin for now. I'll go save Olvia!"

Ye Qiong released Robin from his arms and handed her to Doctor Clover before leaving in a silver flash.

He had left a Space Mark on the eastern shore of the island, where he had trained for a long time.

When Ye Qiong appeared on a tree branch in the forest along the eastern shore, he instinctively looked toward the azure sea beyond the coast and drew a sharp breath.

More than a dozen enormous steel warships surrounded the entire eastern shore, dominating the sea in full battle readiness. Rows of pitch-black cannon barrels were aimed at the island. There was no doubting their power—once they fired in unison, it would be a terrifying strike capable of destroying everything.

The Buster Call was already in position!

A bead of cold sweat seeped from Ye Qiong's forehead, slid down his slightly pale handsome face, and fell onto a leaf.

Then he turned, reached out, kicked off, and headed deeper into the forest.

Ye Qiong sprinted through the woods as he searched. There was no time to spare. He had to save Olvia as quickly as possible!

Olvia was running. Her silver hair was hidden beneath a hat, and her beautiful face was tense. Wearing a denim jacket, her boots made crisp sounds as they stomped across the grass.

Though she was an archaeologist, six years of wandering the seas had honed her into someone with the agility of a hunter.

She burst through a patch of bushes, leaving the shadows behind. Her view suddenly opened up, revealing two men in suits standing ahead of her as if they had been waiting for her all along.

Olvia naturally knew who the men before her were. She raised the hunting rifle in her hand and aimed it at them.

"Hey, hey, Nico Olvia. If we let you escape, we'd be terribly embarrassed."

"Mm. Do you think that toy in your hand can do anything to us?"

The two CP9 members smiled playfully, completely unconcerned by Olvia's raised rifle.

"You can arrest me, but the scholars here are innocent! Why are you arresting them?" Olvia demanded angrily. From Doctor Clover, she had already learned that the World Government intended to act against Ohara's scholars.

"As such an exceptionally intelligent woman, why are you still so naive? Since you keep denying that you are an Ohara scholar, why do you defend them at every turn?"

"Our superior has already gone to the Tree of Omniscience to search for evidence. Once the evidence is conclusive... no, even without evidence, this island will be destroyed!" The man in sunglasses grinned, seemingly eagerly anticipating that moment.

"You!" Olvia angrily pulled the trigger. The bullet left the barrel, yet it missed, striking the patch of grass where the man in sunglasses had been standing.

The man in sunglasses blurred into view before Olvia and kicked her in the abdomen, causing her to instantly lose consciousness.

He slung Olvia's fallen body over his shoulder and gestured to the other man. "Let's go."

Before they had taken more than a few steps, a cold voice fell from above!

"Hold it. Hand that woman over to me."

A figure swiftly leaped out of the forest and landed on a tree branch above their heads, looking down at them.

It was Ye Qiong, who had rushed over.

"What does this woman have to do with you?" the man in sunglasses asked.

"My future mother-in-law."

"Bullshit. What kind of joke are you making?" The man in sunglasses stared at him coldly.

"If you interfere with our operation, that is a criminal act!" the other man warned.

"Is that so?" Ye Qiong smiled indifferently. "I really don't mind killing two more."

The two suited men's expressions changed. Just as they were about to strike, a force squeezed in from all around them. The air seemed to solidify into something tangible, making it impossible for them to move even an inch.

R Restraint!

Having succeeded in one move, Ye Qiong leaped directly from the branch. With his left hand, he rescued Olvia. Then he delivered a kick and a punch to the two rigid CP9 members, respectively. They did not even have time to use Tekkai before being sent flying, crashing through several trees before finally coming to a stop.

The two had not suffered much injury, but after rolling across the forest floor, their once-neat suits were already tattered and covered in dirt. They looked utterly miserable.

With Olvia on his back, Ye Qiong could not help laughing at the sight. It seemed that every CP9 member he had encountered wore a suit. They looked cool, sure, but they were terribly impractical.

It was the perfect example of looking cool for less than three seconds.

"You two should stop chasing me. Leave yourselves a little dignity."

After tossing out those words, Ye Qiong carried Olvia toward the Tree of Omniscience. The two CP9 members were so furious they nearly exploded, and they rushed after him at top speed.

When carrying someone, Silver Flash's travel distance was cut in half. It was nowhere near enough for him to teleport directly back to the Tree of Omniscience.

With Olvia on his back, Ye Qiong's speed inevitably dropped by a level. The two CP9 members possessed auxiliary physical techniques from the Navy Six Powers, such as Soru and Geppo, so they were naturally faster than Ye Qiong.

Yet no matter how hard the two CP9 members chased, they remained thirty meters behind Ye Qiong. A repulsive force obstructed their advance, making them feel utterly sickened.

"I've been maintaining R this whole time!" Ye Qiong turned back, smiling faintly at the CP9 members desperately pursuing him.

As long as he controlled his spatial ability properly and created a force that repelled outward from his body, he could firmly limit their speed.

"They can't catch me!" Ye Qiong narrowed his eyes. A little farther ahead, he would be able to use the Space Mark on Robin to move together with Olvia. "Just a few more miles..."
