The two girls had calmed down considerably. Perhaps Rogge made them feel safe, because they clung to him and refused to let go.
"You're not seriously taking these two girls with us, are you?" Jelly glanced sideways at Rogge as he held the twin sisters, a sour note in his voice.
"What are your names?" Rogge asked them.
"Dolos." "Doloi." The sisters answered at the same time.
"Which one's the older sister? You look exactly alike. I can't tell," Ares said weakly.
Suddenly, the sisters stood in front of Rogge. Looking a little shy, they reached for their collars and tugged them down.
Rogge caught a glimpse of four patches of pale skin, with a dark mole on opposite sides.
"The one on the right is me, Dolos, the older sister. The one on the left is my younger sister, Doloi," Dolos said.
Rogge didn't know whether to laugh or cry. He hadn't expected that to be how they told each other apart. Dolos had a mole on the right side of her chest, while Doloi had one on the left.
"What are you looking at?" Jelly and the others crowded over, hoping to see, but the sisters immediately released their collars. No one besides Rogge got a look.
"Where are you from? Do you have any family?" Rogge asked.
"We're from South Blue. Our mother entrusted us to our uncle, and he sold us," Dolos said, her spirits sinking.
Doloi continued, "We don't blame Mother. Our family was poor, and Father fell seriously ill and died a few years ago. Mother couldn't manage with us on her own, so she entrusted us to Uncle. She never imagined he'd bring us here and sell us to traffickers."
"I see. How old are you two?" Rogge asked, rubbing his chin.
